Five weeks ago, the US had the love and loyalty of every man, woman and child in Ukraine.

Today I would not recommend a visit to Kyiv unless you have saved enough money for new teeth. In addition to that, no allies trust you anymore.. if you have any at all.

"That guy is being beaten and robbed, let's steal his wallet before the robber does!"

I can't speak for the rest of Europe, for South Korea or Taiwan... but in Sweden people just want to puke.

If you get a couple of airliners flying into skyscrapers now, you will have to present a request for proposals before other countries will help you out.

I mean, Swedish voters will punish any politician who would suggest pissing on the US... if the US is on fire.

It's not a money thing. It's not even a Sweden thing. We have witnessed the US happily sucking russian dick if there is a chance to make a buck, and we know you would throw any other country under the bus as well.

With all that extorsion money you get from Ukraine, you still can't buy friends.

I'm not thinking of anyone off the top of my head that is all worked up about visiting Kyiv anytime soon, nor Mogadishu or Timbuktu.

Thank you for making my point clear. I guess the germans and the japanese should just paid you off in ww2. Given you the UK, or something. You do have a price, as you said.

I like you Scott and often agree with you, but you are just wrong on this one. Abandoning our allies and Ukraine is a HUGE mistake and one that with haunt America for a very long time to come. We became the world's largest economy through our partnership with our allies which has maintained a safer, more stable world in the post WWII period. We are in no way shape or form better off going it alone. This is a gift to our enemies, Russia and China and a thumb in the eye of our friends. It is shameful.

Agreed! We should stay the hell out of Gaza, that much should be obvious to anyone paying attention.

Jesus.

Now I have to agree with the Boulder hippy.

Steve is 100% correct here.

Not our monkey and not our circus.

You think this country is politically divided nowG. Go into Gaza and see ho divided we become.

Ok I had to agree with Steve. I’m gonna stop for lottery tickets later today.

I will just point out that we are a very divided country and quite a few Americans still feel Russia is a threat and that it is our duty to stand by our allies. Trump and his shitty foreign policy by no means represent the feelings of all Americans. I am embarrassed at the behavior of that worthless traitor.

no doubt that the whole country is not kissing musk or trump feet but your country is going the wrong way and the admirers of trump are not even seeing it ... there is a distinction between the people and the head ... but in a democracy sometimes alas the biggest numbers are right even if they are wrong ...

I would suggest that Ukrainian troops were ( and still are to a point) profoundly grateful for the US and the west supplying the means with which to defend their country.
