Five weeks ago, the US had the love and loyalty of every man, woman and child in Ukraine. Actually the affection of every Oligarch in Ukraine There are various clips of the fighting in Ukraine taken from the Ukrainian side where the US national anthem van be heard over the battlefield, payed by Ukrainian soldiers. I would suggest that Ukrainian troops were ( and still are to a point) profoundly grateful for the US and the west supplying the means with which to defend their country.
Today I would not recommend a visit to Kyiv unless you have saved enough money for new teeth. In addition to that, no allies trust you anymore.. if you have any at all. I'm not thinking of anyone off the top of my head that is all worked up about visiting Kyiv anytime soon, nor Mogadishu or Timbuktu.
"That guy is being beaten and robbed, let's steal his wallet before the robber does!"
I can't speak for the rest of Europe, for South Korea or Taiwan... but in Sweden people just want to puke.
If you get a couple of airliners flying into skyscrapers now, you will have to present a request for proposals before other countries will help you out. They were fools to agree to go along before and would be bigger fools now.
I mean, Swedish voters will punish any politician who would suggest pissing on the US... if the US is on fire. The Swede's can go along and continue to be Swede's, America doesn't mind.
It's not a money thing. It's not even a Sweden thing. We have witnessed the US happily sucking russian dick if there is a chance to make a buck, and we know you would throw any other country under the bus as well. Okey dokey, don't call Uncle Sam anymore. Seriously, don't call Uncle Sam anymore!
With all that extorsion money you get from Ukraine, you still can't buy friends. Time and time again, not true, talk is cheap and especially in politics, everyone and even the Swedes have a price.
