AFAIK a "deep state" is actually unconstitutional.

The Administrative state is constitutional according to many Supreme Court cases.

The first, modern administrative agency dates back to 1887 being the ICC.

The left has been doing more than just denying, and what they are denying is the implication or insinuations or conspiracy theories Trump and Bannon mean by using the term "Deep State".

Also, Bannon's 20,000 shock troops is his response and remedy to the administrative/deep state. Heritage foundation buys in fully with
Bannon's thinking per Project 2025.

What "they" and republicans, explicitly or complicitly, like you in particular, want is to destroy the administrative state, along with the country as a whole, by removing job security developed over time for govt employees, nix their retirement plans, etc., and thoroughly replace the whole lot with utter loyalists sycophants.

The plan is to actually flush the admin state, destroy effectiveness as it exists, and supplant a whole new and real Deep State for an entirely new kind of effectiveness - the kind found in fascism.

The irony (for lack of a better word) is typical thinking of the far right, or fascists. First create a boogie with conspiracy theory and lies, then fix it with a real boogie.

The really sick irony is that about half of the citizens in the US think Trump's and Bannon's and the GOP's version of the Deep State is very real. It ties into the "rest of the story" as Paul Harvy would say. The power of lies, from a demagogue, is on full display.
