I just want to know why after 5 years of looking that the GOP can find dick pics on the laptop but can't find any evidence that slow Joe was involved in Hunter's business dealings? Makes you wonder coffee

What I wonder is why anyone gives a rat's ass. Joe is out. The democrats have always liked dirty tricks, but the Republicans, under Trump, abandoned any claim to the high ground on Jan 6th.
The opponent right now is Kamala Harris. She will be defeated with facts, by the way, not by sexual innuendo and name calling. She is unfit to hold the office and that is what has to be kept front and center. Of course, it would be even better if the Republican choice was more fit for the office. Bill.

I think Harris has two advantages; she’s far more likely than Trump to involve knowledgeably advisors in her decisions, and she’s much less likely to plunder the office for personal gain.

In the end, she’d do the less permanent damage. Helluva way to be squeezed into choosing though.

Lane we have covered and analyzed your claim before.

Why do you keep the same lie going in your head and posting it herein?

Also, the Judicial Watch group are made up of far-right radicals, and they lie.

To be clear, as a reminder, your claim is that the 51 LIED about the laptop.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...telligence_officials

On October 19, 2020, a group of 51 former senior intelligence officials, who had served in the Trump administration and those of the three previous presidents, released an open letter stating that the release of the alleged emails "has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation", adding:

We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement—just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.[34][103][104]

I think those are good questions.

Yea, October Surprises. That's apparent IF one ignores several associated facts, which is SOP for Rightists extremists who want to look at just enough screened facts to affirm their opinions.

It is interesting and suspicious that the 51 and more would do a letter saying that it looks like a Russian smear campaign, their MO, but at the same time saying we don't know for sure at this time whether it is or isn't, either way. Both statements were true, BTW.

Trump and his extremist sycophants (flying monkeys) tried to use whatever they could glean from the laptop as their own October Surprise, by twisting facts, omitting facts, lying - all the usual plot and ploy. The joint statement of the 51 was to tell the truth and snuff the effect of a fake (disinformation) October Surprise, for rational people. Obviously, it didn't work for irrational people.

But there is an honest explanation. The explanation that they, the 51, were lying is definitely not honest. It's a fabrication to suit a purpose. It's a fine example of how and why Rightists make up stuff, say it often, and actually righteously believe their own BS.

These two articles from Wikipedia have so many verified facts, one after the other organized to give bigger picture understanding, not Obfuscation, as the simplified explanation from Lane is.

Any time people like Steve Bannon and Giuliani are involved we should know lies WILL ensue.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/..._Hunter_Biden_Emails

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...n_laptop_controversy

Here's a sample:

During an interview with Fox News on October 19, 2020, Trump's National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe said the emails were "not part of some Russian disinformation campaign" and accused Adam Schiff of mischaracterizing the views of the intelligence community by describing the alleged emails as part of a smear campaign against Joe Biden.[2] Schiff's spokesman accused Ratcliffe of "purposefully misrepresenting" Schiff's words.[3]

=========================================

The hard drive data had been shared with Trump advisor Steve Bannon before it became publicly known.[1] Trump attempted to turn the story into an October surprise to hurt Joe Biden's campaign by falsely alleging that, while in office, Biden had acted corruptly regarding Ukraine to protect his son. [16][17][18] A joint investigation by two Republican Senate committees released in September 2020 and a Republican House Oversight committee investigation released in April 2024 did not find wrongdoing by Joe Biden with regard to Ukraine and his son's business dealings there.[24] PolitiFact wrote in June 2021 that the laptop did belong to Hunter Biden, but did not demonstrate wrongdoing by Joe Biden.[25]

The media coverage of the laptop spurred speculation about the Biden–Ukraine conspiracy theory, which falsely[26] alleged that then vice president Joe Biden acted in Ukraine to protect his son from a corruption investigation by Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. On October 14, 2020, the New York Post published an article based on an email from the laptop about a purported meeting between then vice president Joe Biden and the Burisma advisor Vadym Pozharskyi. The Biden campaign denied Joe Biden had any meeting with Pozharskyi and said that if they had ever met, it would have been a brief encounter.[27] Witnesses at the dinner where they allegedly met said Joe Biden briefly passed by to see an old friend. The Post reported in its story that Pozharskyi declined to comment, and he did not comment to a Politico journalist who reported extensively on the story a year later.[28]

The Post reported that the email was found in a cache of data extracted from the external hard drive of a laptop computer that belonged to Hunter Biden. The Post reported that the repair shop owner had made a copy of the external hard drive before it was seized by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and that the copy was later provided to the Post by Donald Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani . The subpoena to seize the laptop was issued by a grand jury on behalf of the US attorney's office in Wilmington, which was later reported to have been investigating Hunter Biden about lobbying and financial matters since at least 2018.[1][11]

The veracity of the Post's reporting was strongly questioned by many mainstream media outlets and analysts due to the initially unclear origin and chain of custody of the laptop and the provenance of its contents. Due to prior Russian influence campaigns during the 2016 election, particularly the release of documents obtained by Russian cyber attacks targeting John Podesta and the Democratic National Committee, media outlets and intelligence officials also became suspicious of a possible disinformation campaign by Russian intelligence or its proxies. Analysts also suspected Russian involvement in the 2017 leaks of emails involving French president Emmanuel Macron two days before national elections, which contained fake emails mingled with genuine ones.[29] Adding to concerns, Giuliani had met with Andrii Derkach, later confirmed to be a Russian agent,[30][31] while conducting opposition research against Joe Biden in Ukraine in 2019. [35]

A direct quote from Joe Biden: 'I said, I'm telling you, you're not getting the billion dollars"... I looked at them and said: "I'm leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you're not getting the money." Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.'"

The prosecutor was investigating Burisma, which just happened to have Hunter on its BOD.

Of course, just because Hunter was on the BOD of Burisma at the time, and Hunter's laptop has an email saying "10% to the Big Guy", it would be ludicrous of anyone to think there is a connection, right? Right?

What connection? Wink

How does whatever connection exists with circumstantial evidence add up to the 51 people with credible reputations lying all of a sudden?

That's an example of "connections" being extrapolated/embellished into a conspiracy theory, and used to damage a candidate in contest for POTUS.

At a campaign rally in Iowa, President Donald Trump cited an unsubstantiated news report to revive a widely debunked false narrative about Joe Biden's work in Ukraine on behalf of the Obama administration. As we have reported more than once last year, Biden traveled to Kyiv as vice president and warned Ukraine's then-president, Petro Poroshenko, that the U.S. would withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees until Ukraine removed its prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin, who was widely viewed as corrupt. At the time, the international community and anti-corruption advocates in Ukraine were also calling for Shokin to be removed from office for his failure to aggressively prosecute corruption.
Caldera, Camille (October 21, 2020). "Fact check: Biden leveraged $1B in aid to Ukraine to oust corrupt prosecutor, not to help his son". USA Today. Archived from the original on June 19, 2021. Retrieved May 12, 2022. Based on our research, the claim that Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion from Ukraine to save his son's job is FALSE. The then-vice president leveraged aid dollars to persuade the country to oust its top prosecutor as part of anti-corruption efforts endorsed by other international players that were unrelated to his son, Hunter Biden.
