She's brilliant. I always admire people who come up with an original entertainment idea- or any original idea for that matter- and have the guts to run with it. Her bush barbie condom adds are funny as hell!
Steve irwin was also someone with an original idea and motivated enough to make it into a career, so good on him..... But..... Big but... his idea was to unnecessarily fuck around with animals. And he did eventually find out.

The world suffered a great loss, as did Australia, when Steve had that fatal accident. He probably would have advised others to not swim that close to the sand - there's sting rays lurking/hidden there.

I figured that Steve would eventually get ate by a croc, snake bit or something. I saw the show when he went to Africa and among other things, he caught a green mamba snake by the tail. It almost got him. I figure that he had anti-venom handy.

For some reason I have run across severalYoutube shorts the past couple of days of folks stopping to help sloths in the road. God bless those folks.
Contrast them with some of the swine around here who swerve to hit turtles flushed out onto the roads by heavy rains.

I liked Steve Irwin and his enthusiasm. But It was always tempered by my recognition that his presentation of the natural world and our place in it was unrealistic and distorted by eco fundamentalism and fame.
The stingray that got him was not A hidden menace. he was knowingly approaching it in open water with camera rolling.
And. That fame was based on an image of bravery in a gladiatorial or bullfighter sense of spectacle for the masses.

Okay, Shanks, thanks for your views on Irwin. I agree with you, except that in my memory the stingray got him by surprise. It doesn't matter now.

I see these rays often while fishing. they are beasts sizewise and very impressive. They will come check you out too and almost poke thier heads out of the water near you when rock fishing. They are awesome to see. But ive never wanted to get closer. occasionally Ive caught them and eagle rays as a by catch. I always let them go But before I remove the hook, the first and only thing i do is get control Of that tail! Its freaking scary how they can whip it around and I know a few people who have been stabbed. It will reduce a grown man to tears. Its a two person job to get the tail under control, get the hook out, and release one safely.

Thats what my impression was but im going from memory.

Look, I enjoyed Steve Irwin’s gimmick
as a kid. He did a lot to get kids looking at, thinking about biological systems.

As I got older, I saw his gimmick as too invasive becoming disrespectful to the creatures he was presenting to us. He did it one too many times. He paid the price
