Hungary has voted to admit Sweden

Look for Trump to take a swipe at Sweden in the next day or so.

What is interesting was the vote margin that the issue had when put up in their parliament. One would have thought it would be a little closer given the opposition publicly.

Sweden has traditionally been viewed as perennially neutral since the Napoleonic era.

This should tell Russia something about how others view its behavior.

Sweden has announced a doubling of their defence budget for 2024 over 2020 levels. They produce some pretty good equipment too, as do the nordic states in general.

I would imagine (and hope) that work has been ongoing behind the scenes for some time in integrating Swedens military with her neighbours. The Nordic states have already been working on doing this for their airforces.
