One thing for sure. With control of all 3 branches of government, Trump will have no excuse if he fails at all his campaign promises. He was going to drain the swamp, build the wall, etc first time around. He didn’t, even though he enjoyed the same advantage for a few years. It will be really interesting to see if anything he promised comes to fruition this time…. popcorn

If you saw the travesty of justice down on this border, you’d feel differently. There was a RR bridge I drove under everyday for 30 driving to my business. After Biden won, there were literally HUNDREDS of rail cars full of chopped up border wall sitting in them.

There was huge contracts that the government had to satisfy, even though no wall was constructed. The lies told about the border wall are amazing. The left didn’t count any wall as new if the new wall was replacing an existing barrier.

So a three strand barded wire fence, was removed and the big panels installed, but it was never counted a new wall.

SEEMS to me that you should put your resume in with the LinkedIn site for the Heritage Foundation. In the section titled "those who think WE have more liberals than WE should", drill down to subsection Shock Troops wanted, then look further in subsection "hit man wanted". There's a job there for you.

Oh, BTW, here's another opportunity for you and others:

They're not liberals, they're Americans that oppose Trump. I should know, I'm one of them.

I happily admit I'm not an authority and I don't really understand what led up to last Tuesday. I live in the Sticks, I don't have tv, and I spend a very small part of my day following national politics. I don't have a handle on Steve's description of the Southern Border, but I am irritated that Mexico is less safe for my tourism.

In 2016 there was no way I was going to vote for that mouthy, crass jackass of a guy from New York and over the years that opinion has only solidified. "The Donald" is the antithesis of Reagan, Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Lincoln and Washington. If you disagree that's fine, I don't see it your way.

We're not liberals, we're conservatives that are appalled by the candidate that wants the Constitution suspended, his Cabinet appointments made without Congressional approval and is interested in Arnold Palmers below the belt.

My paternal grandfather was born in 1899. He farmed truck crops, wore a white shirt to work, shot a Remington Model 8 on big game and a Savage "A5" at ducks and pheasants. Grandpa took his hat off at the door, hung his coat up at the coatrack and never forgave his brother in law for taking a seat before his wife/ grandpa's sister. Tumps behavior, mannerisms and language would have been unforgivable to Grandpa and that why I and we vote the way we do.

Scott,

You, a conservative, are the minority here, whether you support Trump or not. Your position was well-stated and rational and I have no problem with those that disagree with me and state their positions the way you did.

My complaint is that the liberal response is just shrill, without reason.

Im not under the impression that conservatives are the minority here, but again and with emphasis, what do I know.

My recollection is that historically liberals react and vote on emotion and without reason. The liberal genuflecting to the 10% of our population in any venue seems self defeating and even suicidal.

So, has that self defeating/ suicidal obsession with the 10% fringe infected the Right? I am more than inclined to think so.

Thanks for the compliment, it was very nice.

Well, at least no one on AR has posted a meltdown video.

What happened on Tuesday was similar to what DeSantis said about FL. The line was (paraphrased): FL is where “woke” comes to die. Last week Americans in all walks of life across this country came together to say “woke” needs to be dead throughout America.

No more open borders.
No more death to our children by fentanyl.
No more allowing the cartels to use our country like they are Amazon.
No more boys on girls teams.
No more lawfare.
No more making us sacrifice at home to show the world we are the “greenest.”
No more spending billions over seas while letting our own industrial cities rot.
No more telling Israel that they can’t defeat evil and kick it the hell out of there country any damn way they choose.

My family fought, Quannah Parker to homestead their land, they survived the depression in rags holding onto it, they prospered in traditional America that emerged from WWII up through the early 2000s (the period where little changed in my neck of the woods), and they are sick and tired of all the things I mentioned above.

My 85 year old white advanced degree college educated mom who still lives on a ranch in the middle of nowhere, called me at 1am on Wed Nov the 6th and said: “America survived to fight another day…I can go to bed.”

Let me be the first to say hear hear to the GOP for winning the battle so America can live to fight another day.

In fact, I wouldn't end lawfare right away. I'd prosecute a few key Democrats. Then, after they had spent millions defending themselves and faced some prison time, propose legislation banning the practice. Bet you'd get bipartisan support then. Democrats need an object lesson.

Like rubbing a puppy's nose in their own mess.

On post count alone the conservatives are definitely in the minority on the ARPF.
I think that’s a sign of leftist delusion.

I'm still laughing too. What a stupid proposal!

Sure! Let's pass a law making all politicians immune from prosecution for malfeasance. Give 'em the green light for bribery, thievery, conspiracy to steal an election, and other crimes.

Let them squeal "lawfare" when they're caught. What could be better for the country?

Let's all run for some office or another so we can do whatever we want!

Still shaking my head over the stupidity.

Trump will have to do a lot better than he did his first term to accomplish all you expect of him. Do you think he's become competent after his sojurn from office?

No open borders? I'll go along with this one, to a certain extent. We'll see if Trump can do anything about the problem without bad-mouthing or mistreating the immigrants who are here.

No more fentanyl deaths or cartels? Another war on drugs?

Boys on girls teams, now there's a pressing issue. The country may rise or fall on the answer. It happens so frequently, you know. Maybe there ought to be a law from Big Brother against it. Trump should charge to the rescue.

No more lawfare--sure, let the politicians get away with anything. As I said: Stupid.

What have you sacrificed to show the world we're green?

I too object to the billions we're sending overseas to Israel. Ukraine needs to be supported.
