While the Title might sound like something I'd say to Ron DeSantis, it's actually a line of a Federal Court ruling issued today while issuing a Temporary Restraining Order to keep Florida from threatening TV stations that air political ads in favor of a ballot measure DeSantis opposes.

I just read that decision. The chief judge of the Florida federal district court did not mince words. He did indeed tell DeSantis and minions "it's the First Amendment, stupid."

Note that the taxpayers of Florida have been funding DeSantis's campaign against the ballot proposal for an abortion rights amendment to the Florida constitution. Part of the cost of electing a Republican governor, I guess. He's afraid to let Florida voters to vote on it.

I never meant to imply that you do. It's just rare to see a judge so plain-spoken and blunt.

But it's not a close case.
