I keep seeing ads for some form of green stuff, usually a liquid. Supposed to be great for you. The only place I've seen green stuff supposedly intended for human consumption was in "Conan the Barbarian", it was in a large cauldron and contained human boby parts.
Of course there is SOYLENT GREEN< you need to see the movie if you haven't.
I vaguely remember some group advocating using the bodies of the dead to supplement our food supply.
No thanks, I don't want any SOYLENT GREEN!

I saw an article a few days ago, but didn't read it - just the heading.

It was about recycling human bodies, "for the health of the planet" or something like that.

Wow. I'm sure you understand why I didn't read it.

There are places in the world, India for example, where recycling is the way of body disposal. The Ganges River is a shit hole of half burned bodies and giant catfish feeding off the remains dumped. Plus, there are places where they place bodies on high cliffs and turn them into vulture shit. That's good for the planet for sure. Roll Eyes

Oh, BTW, to your OP thing. I've seen those ads too, but don't know what to make of them. Your assessment is close to mine as well, at first take.

Remember the story about the French tourist who fell to her death, and was eaten by Griffon Vultures before the body could be recovered?

What? You don’t like kale smoothies?

A salad in a glass!

Most of the green glop I’ve seen is basically green leafy vegetables blended into a shake form. If you are into taking antioxidant supplements, the green crap is a somewhat less processed version of those pills.

Eat a balanced diet and this stuff is unnecessary.

Big Grin

I was making green kale smoothies for a while, and served a glass of it to my Texas buddies when they were here to deer hunt.

One refused to have it. He asked me if I knew where that stuff came from that I used to mix the kale with before the blender chopped it up.

He said it's the bottom of the barrel stuff and they bottle it to sell to people like you.

It was really a blend of cranberry juice, plums, carrots, etc. Big Grin

I don't know about smoothies, but we nuke the stuff in a glass casserole dish to soften it up, and I also put it in a sausage/kale/potato soup using an altered Martha Stewart recipe a little like Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana. I've lately taken to doing that with a soup made from leftover Costco chicken and wide noodles.
