https://www.nytimes.com/2024/0...PIxTfs-Yl5tePQ%3D%3D I am baffled that the Wests proven track record of failure hasn't influenced it seems the majority here on the pf. "Undermine the morale of the German people to the point where their capacity for armed resistance is fatally weakened" Afghanistan could have been an example to the world and specifically the extremist world. Crush them, crush them terribly and unmercifully and then ask, "who's next?!?!". Then listen to the crickets. By waffling, questioning and quibbling over and with Israel's response to Islamic Terrorists the West has handed a victory to the Terrorists. It's a guarantee that extremist terrorism will continue well past all our lifetime until we find a generation of Westerners with the resolve to defeat the enemy. Why wouldn't ISIS, Hamas, and the Taliban hold their breath, wait a few minutes and carry on? During the siege of Vicksburg the Rebels were reduced to eating rats and according to Chernow cleaned them out of the city. And they've not gotten frisky ever again.

Hahahaha! Winning wars? May be try going into JUST and LEGAL wars which are justified. Instead of crimes against humanity to fill up the coffers of your masters, the military industry! Bloody hell, you get your arse whipped in every wear you start!

True story. When its time to shoot…shoot…don’t talk first. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. Lane Easter, DVM A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

I find it ironic that our outspoken Christian forum members advocate carpet bombing of innocent civilians. Have you considered the possibility of a political solution to the Israeli/Palestinian crisis that has been going on for over 75 years? Bombs do not seem to be working that well.

Quite, but it will be lost on them. …as is the concept of playing into the hands of those who fund and support Hamas. If you can only think in 1 dimension the answer to every question is a B52 or an Abram’s.

The sad part is the bloody Brits started it. The Zionist occupiers took full advantage of the crimes committed by Christians in Europe an innocent Jews to take over the whole of Palestine. With incredible support from especially America, they managed to concentrate most of the Palestinians in a glorified concentration camp. The Palestinians finally had enough. Yes, they did commit crimes against innocent people. But that pales in comparison to what the New Nazis have been doing to them since 1948! Nothing is going to change, as long as the Zionists got America kissing their criminal rear end!

I actually consider myself a pacifist. I am generally against war, against fighting and hostilities. I do believe we continue and prolong war with this constant, limited and neutered squabbling. We don't fight to win we fight to maintain the status quo. The dead Afghans, the dead Iraqis were for nothing, we made everything worse not better. Our casualties in those places were for nothing. If the West forces a truce between Israel and Hamas all those dead and those who will die will be for nothing more than Western frailties. I believe in peace. I believe in preserving peace by making war to horrible to tolerate. We have done the opposite. War for the West now is video games, drone strikes , live feed and fat civilians dressing themselves up in "tactical gear" and waving around a "$3k AR-15. And our sanitized conflict goes on and on and on and on.

315k civilian dead in Iraq and 46k civilians dead in Afghanistan, all for nothing. "Hey Israel! Follow our lead!"

The idea that war can be held to some sort of civil standards is problematic. If you fight to one side gives up, then you will have lasting peace. That it may result in genocide tends to give a reason not to start it in the first place. I think Israel is justified in going in to kill all of Hamas until they give up and acknowledge the right of Israel to exist. I don’t think Israel is justified in fighting the Palestinians just to increase settlements for the Israeli population.
