And, told him to stuff it.

The entire premise is nothing but a republican stunt. No law enforcement official in the country is ever going to provide information relating to an on-going criminal investigation.

Funny how the Right of me speaks about the Fed Government taking over functions of state actors, violating Federalism, tyranny by Dems.

Here we have the Right of Right Republicans trying to usurp State Prosecutor's legit, authority in violation Federalism.

We have the GOP at the federal level threatening state prosecutors to protect a criminal. Sounds like blackmail, sounds like trump, sounds like the GOP.

Just a polite question strictly on merits to our legal minds.

Does Bragg’s case look kosher to you guys?

I mean to me, it looks like he has twisted a circumstance into a pretzel to reach the low-bar of indictment IF he ever gets there.

Hummm.

Circumstance?

Hummm.

Trump fucked a porn star.

Then didn't want his wife or the public to know about it.

(probably Trump was blackmailed - poor victim) Roll Eyes

Trump's attorney paid the gal money for her agreement of non-disclosure.

Trump reimbursed the attorney, who later confessed to a crime and spent time incarcerated and on parole, and lost his law license.

It wasn't the fucking of a whore (probably not the first or last time) that got him into trouble, nor the pussy grabbing, especially amongst his Christian following.

It was the hush money payment. In NY it's deem a violation of campaign finance laws, or so I read it.

So, exactly where is your confusion? Who is doing the twisting and contortion?

Without seeing what is bf the Grand Jury, I cannot say.

On the face of it, I would be concerned w the SOL. Surely, he knows that piece of business.

Second, from a pure what the sweet cream on an ice cream sandwich stand point, not legal analysis, I cannot see Cohen going down for doing something President Trump orders him to do.

As far as indictment the burden is more probable than not a very low bar. However, prosecutors have ethical rules not to indict cases that Prosecutor knows does not meet the elements of the crime charged against a specific person, or cannot be proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

Did he also order him to take the reimbursement and lie about it?

Anyway -see: http://forums.accuratereloadin...3811043/m/9851090472

I agree with that. If I am in the need to be convinced that President Trump’s criminal liability is not present.

Interesting way of saying that. I had to read it three times to assure I understood, and I'm still uncertain.

May just be me. Smiler

Anyway, we are talking about two arenas.

One is the court of public opinion, and the other is the court of law.

Trump could win in both courts.

Every credible analysis I have read is “maybe on the misdemeanor” but SOL is a problem here. Hell-no on the felony of campaign finance violations and SOL is still a problem here.

I just see President Trump being criminally liable for the order when the act by Cohen is illegal.

Again, on the face of it I see SOL. Surely, the DA would not impanel a GJ with an SOL he cannot get over.

There is not a SOL on any felony in KY. So, I cannot break that down. Never been and cannot be my problem to solve.

No, I don't mean that false equivalence.

It had nothing to do with campaign finance.

It looks to me like there is zero chance of the campaign finance violation charge sticking. It seems a convoluted view to even charge it.

Time will tell.
