For doing the majority’s will a standing up to Putin.

GOP Fools.

Another Bipartisan bill, Dr. Eater’s wing cannot stand because it bucks Putin and works w Dem Colleagues (not enemies, colleagues).

This is why folks like Dr. Easter should not be permitted unilateral power.

Proud of the Speaker on this bill.

The GOP is a laughingstock. Another one of Trump's "accomplishments".

McCarthy’s ouster has resulted in no conservative bills from the Right even getting a floor vote, the country is not safer, and the GOP in the House by their bad faith will see that majority of one go back to the Dems.

Good job guys.

I am a Rebublican. I have actually given money to McCarthy and had lunch with his chief of staff. He is a reasonable man. Lost me when they voted him out. Not to mention a dumb play if you just want to play party politics.

Shhh!!!! Hush, be quiet, shhhh!!!!

Your criticism is hurtful, not helpful. The race to rock bottom can't be won until rock bottom is achieved!

I'm for the GOP eating each other. I say make MTG the Speaker.

I concur. Best comment award.

The reporting I am reading is there are enough votes to save his speakership between R and D votes.

Rumor is a couple of fed-up sane Republicans have threatened to resign immediately if the Chair is vacated, which would elect Speaker Jeffries.

If trump somehow does get re-elected the best outcome would be a demoncrat majority in Congress so there would be 4 more years of stalemate and staletrump if he wasn't impeached again.

I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. Give these kooks the White House and Congress and it will make what is happening in AZ and AL seem tame.

Power play. I respect it. That would mean no motion to vacate.

This is what happens when you bow down to fools to low and for too long.

I hope the legacy of President Trump will be the MAGA, Christian Nationalist wing of the party forms their own party, or cannot get elected. In the event, they are elected, they get out on the back bench.

The reason Greene has such stoke is because she is the 4th Highest Money Raiser in the House last I checked. I am all for “unintended consequences” as Justice Alito wrote being applied to Citizens United.

There are multiple existential threats from an open border. No one but a fool thinks otherwise. The mayor of New York knows it as do the residents of Martha’s Vineyard.

What’s better (or worse) for this country; Is an open border or a Speaker that’s willing To use the power of the purse to close the border? It’s a cost benefit dilemma, one unfortunately controlled by Schumer and his progressive allies in the legacy press (NPR, too). Smiler

We don’t have national pebblesites. I wonder if one asking if closing the border is worth “shutting down the government (actually nonessential services)“ until Chuckie folds. Oh yeah, the last border bill that failed allowed how many illegal aliens to come into the country each month before stemming that dangerous migration was instituted?

If the nuts in the Republican Party continue to succeed in driving out the remaining actual "public servants" that Party's replacement will have to be built from scratch, probably under a new name because they are making "Republican" toxic.

I prefer, in most cases, Democratic policies, the ones that have pulled the Country out of Republican recessions after every recent Republican Presidency, but to function best they need a loyal opposition as a counter-balance, with the emphasis on "loyal". Before Trumpism there was no serious questioning of Republicans' loyalty to the Country; now only a fool assumes the best interest of the U.S. as a whole is their first priority.

So it’s a public servant if you want open borders?

Yawn:

The border bill made the situation better and gave the President the power to close the border. That the Supreme Court told the Trump Administration would take an act of Congress as Title 42 was not sufficient.

Nobody serious is advocating for "open borders". A bipartisan Senate Bill to significantly improve border security and speed up the processing of asylum claims was killed at the express order of Donald Trump because even partially solving the "crisis" would remove his only campaign issue.

No actual "public servant" would intentionally harm the Country for political purposes, but Trump did.

There is no salvaging the GOP. The reasonable, responsible men like Eisenhower and Reagan are long gone and drowned out by MTG and others. Case in point up here in AK. We had one reasonable choice here in Alaska, Mary Peltola, a Democrat. palin was running as a Republican, ( do I really need to expand on her no vote?) and a couple other unknowns that didn't generate any interest. Alaska is typically pretty Red state and I / we voted Democrat because the GOP is junk.

I very firmly believe this is a case of needing to hit rock bottom. The GOP needs to fail so badly, so miserably that they wander off like the builders of "The Tower of Babel", and new people from a new place start again.

As long as the GOP has ever the slightest odor of Trump and MTG it is fucked.

And trump is said to be especially odorous/odoriferous.
