Good question…if you put them in our prisons then you are putting American citizens while incarcerated in mortal danger dealing with those gang bangers
Any takes on this?

They are not Americans. They got more due process than they deserved. A rifle ball is what they needed…along with those who facilitated their entrance.

Yes, a conservative would be for sending them to an El Salvadorian prison for pennies on the dollar. DJT patriot

And yes those whining about it are enemies of the State.

Emotionally, I agree. However, our Constitution limits what our government is allowed to do.
It does not grant rights, it acknowledges them. When those limits are breached, it's wrong.

Nah, Lane, there's no need for violence -- if they are here illegally, and can't prove a right to be here, immediate deportation is ALREADY on the books ... deport em - oh, since DHS is 100% an executive branch function, and "plaintiff (with no standing)" isn't accusing of BREAKING EXISTING LAW, they have no standing-- none ..

I believe the Constitution should stand as it is until it is lawfully changed. You know....the rule of law, something the GOP stood for before Trump came along. 2020

Yes.

Trust in family members and friends is ill-effected on a daily basis.

Perhaps it's reciprocal, but IMO Trump supporters can't be trusted. Wherever they are coming from and how they sort out right and wrong is so messed up the line can't be identified.

Of course they have always been that way, but Trump amplifies it.

It's just like old uncle Bob gets fixated on a cult, preaches it, lives it, and everyone else just doesn't get it. Bob has made himself untrustworthy because his reality is just in his head and no telling how deep the rabbit hole is.

When asked as a father or man or citizen if we should change our habit, routine, custom, law, etc,......the fist answer should always be "no".

If later it can be demonstrated that the new friend or restaurant, duck pond, gun, car, school or law is some kind of positive or good, then maybe the answer should be changed to "yes".

So, Hey! Do you wanna start a new war?!?!?!?!
No.
Wanna just let illegal immigrants into the country?
No.
Wanna try a new narcotic?
No.
Wanna pass a new law, change the makeup of the SCOTUS, change the Constitution, change term limits or who is eligible for elected office?
No.

It seems to me that every time we run off half cocked, (especially a nation as big as ours,) it's a mistake, so the answer to everything should be "no" and then let the person with the new fangled idea change our mind.

I've tried to learn as I go and I seem to have mostly gotten pretty good at saying no and using it as an operating mode.
Id hope that the rest of my fellow citizens might follow along in one way shape or form.

"No" is independent, a sole proprietorship , unilateral. One of the biggest hurdles for "no" is the juvenile refrain so often heard here, "but mommy, mommy, they dit it too!". It's said here weekly if not daily. "no" is a personal standard. "no" can be unique, maybe rebellious, certainly un popular.

We the People need to heed Nancy's advice and just say no.

No new departments, bureaus, offices, laws, czars, advisory committees.

No new wars, no new taxes, no new agendas or holidays.

Just say no.

So the US and Russia are going to co-govern the world? You truly do get nuttier by the day.

Let's focus on the issue at hand though. Do you perceive Russia or Ukraine to be the bigger threat to the US historically and prospectively? Do you seriously desire to see a peaceful resolution in the region that not only addresses the Ukraine situation but the broader Eastern European situation? If you believe Russia is the greater historical and prospective threat and you want a lasting regional peace, then why would go into discussions of a long-term solution by belittling and disempowering the non-aggressor country that had been your ally in the fight as well as your historic European allies? Groveling might not be the right term, but stupid sure fits.

History is an excellent teacher, as those failing to observe it are condemned to repeat its errors.

A recent example was Benghazi, where a US Ambassador was lost along with two US Navy former SEALS
providing CIA safe house security.(An available reaction force in USAF fighters and the 10th Special Forces Gp ready reaction force ordered to stand down.)

Then there is the loss of US Marines in Afghanistan in an action reminiscent of Vietnam in 1975. As a former member of the 10th Special Forces Group, this would not have happened had I been the officer commanding. So-the Ammbassador and the SEALS would have been rescued, and I would have been relieved of command. A small price to pay for doing the correct task at the time.
H. Clinton and Obama are excellent examples of progressive leadership sans transparency, patriotism, honesty, and protection of our interests in foreign countries. A lost Ambassador
gives the US a black eye. That would not have happened under either Reagan or Trump.

Dr. Easter- LEDVM, I have Morgans and Arabians..you
can attend to my horses anytime you want.

A recent example was Benghazi, where a US Ambassador was lost along with two US Navy former SEALS
providing CIA safe house security.(No available reaction force USAF fighters and the 10th Special Forces Gp ready reaction force ordered stand down.

You know what really gives America a black eye?

The Felon in chief aligning himself with Putin. That black eye is being seen around the world.

. . . and Reagan never would have turned on our allies nor would he have made the mistake of believing you can reason with someone like Putin. He knew Russia was a threat and did what he could to minimize that threat. Trump's actions with regard to Ukraine and Putin would nauseate Reagan.

One little problem...

Regan was against the Soviets, not Russia.

Putin was a hard core soviet communist. I doubt he's changed his beliefs much at all.

Regan would have been all in on Ukrainian independence because it would reduce Soviet hegemony.

Regan was anticommunist more than anti Russia... because Russia didn't exist at the time.

I do agree that Trump's attempts to appease Putin would make Regan ill.

MAGAs think they are doing what Reagan would have, if he were not such a sissy about the Constitution.
But he raised taxes and offered amnesty for illegals.

What power does Putin have over Trump?

Groveling? Haven’t seen it.

In this shrinking globe…there is a power struggle though, for who will one day govern the one-world-nation. There will be a WWIII at some point. Strategically, I think he puts us in better position for that power play. China is not interested in co-governance.

You have not seen it because your head is up Trump's ass. Witkoff sounds like the Russians gave him his talking points. It's disgusting and you are right there defending it. barf

Turning on our allies and embracing Putin is not a strategic improvement cuckoo

For the record…can you name an ally that we have turned on and describe in detail how we have hurt them? coffee

You could start with the Canadians and the trade war. Nato and undermining its effectiveness. All of the EU by justifying Russia's war in Ukraine. You have to wonder what the five eyes think as well as the Philippine's with whom we have a mutual defense pact.

But America stands strongly with Putin barf

You MAGAts make me sick to my stomach. Fucking traitors.

Roll Eyes

Like I said: “ can you name an ally that we have turned on and describe in detail how we have hurt them?”

Exactly why he wasn’t the gold standard (among other things). A nice old man for sure…just not the gold standard.
