I am positive when Jackson, Obozo and Sharpton hear about this they will add it to the list of demands for being related to slaves 150+ years ago.

White Australians should ask for the rent agreement! White Americans should ask where is the location of the village those slaves were taken from, and who took them!

Why don't liberals want to discuss the true origins of the African slave trade? Or the human trafficking occurring with the southern US border?

Yep. We are waiting to see where this ends up. Since it became known recently its become a fireball topic and politically endangering for the govt. Who are struggling to justify it.

I always wonder if there was some level of moral outrage when the government decided to give American Indians their tribal lands and the right to run casinos. Reparations, right? $39 billion in revenue in 2021. https://www.nigc.gov/news/deta...red%20to%20FY%202019. -Every damn thing is your own fault if you are any good.

Then maybe give the blacks the inner cities and any dollars they generate is reparations.

I am not a liberal, but I would like to answer your question. I don’t find the “origin of the slave trade” question the least bit compelling. Yes, black Africans did sell other black Africans to Arab slave traders, who then sold them into the transatlantic slave trade. I don’t understand how this excuses slavery in the US, or those in the US who profited from it. Does the fact that farmers in Columbia produce and transport cocaine to the US, somehow excuse the drug dealers who profit from the sale here in the US? If parents sell their children to child traffickers, does that excuse those who traffic these children? A much more compelling argument, if we want to poke holes in the white vs black narrative of the slave trade, can be made by pointing out that between between 10 and 20 thousand free blacks owned slaves in the United States. Further, many of the most important leaders of the abolitionist movement were white. I do wonder if being the descendant of black slave owners would exclude a person from receiving reparations… Just my 2 cents… Jason "You're not hard-core, unless you live hard-core." _______________________ Hunting in Africa is an adventure. That's a good question, and one that never occurred to me.

To be fair, about 40% of those black slave owners actually purchased their own family members out of slavery, thus were counted as slave owners. But that still leaves +-10,000 who owned slaves for profit. Jason "You're not hard-core, unless you live hard-core." _______________________ Hunting in Africa is an adventure.
