For those that wanted to try and be cautiously optimistic about the change in Administration and look at Cabinet nominees as one of the signs of what to expect, getting harder to be optimistic. Gaetz for AG, RFK Jr for HHS, good grief. Looks like the defining criteria for Cabinet service is willingness to be a yes man or woman. So folks like Gaetz and RFK Jr are going to make America great again? I’ll take the under on that bet.

You already had your ass handed to you on your last bets. I wouldn’t quit your day job. If I was a ultra liberal woke Soros/ Obama / Biden democrat I would be very dark and depressed too right now like you express in your post.
We on the other side are ecstatic, happy, and optimistic about the future!
Sure we will have to have some extremely intelligent fringe elements in our party to fight and undue the swamp damage caused over the past two decades by the corrupt woke extremely liberal Obama/Soros/ Biden democrats.

What has RFK Jr. ever stated about USA public health that wasn’t true?

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

I am beginning to admire Trump!

The whole so called election was a joke.

He was the most incompetent nut to put forward as candidate.

What the opposition do?

PARTY POLITICS comes first.

So they picked some utterly stupid Bimbo who probably had problems cleaning her arse!

He won.

With a clear majority.

And I hope he turns the WOKE culture upside down! clap

OH, and anythbing that upsets lawyers cannot be a bad thing either! jumping

I’m not really sure what makes one qualified to be secretary of HHS.

I do question Gaetz as AG.

I have no issue with the current pick for Defense as I would prefer it be someone who is not part of the system. Best choice to me for defense would be a 1 term enlisted combat veteran.

These positions are supposed to be a civilian control of the function of government, not how to make sure the empire has a sympathetic ear and voice at the table.

That’s not saying I’m impressed with the people who are being put forward right now. Rubio, ok. Noem ok. We will need to see how they work out.

I can't imagine why anyone who paid attention to his campaign words and promises could possibly be optimistic about his administration.

A good leader in any situation, business or politics, chooses inner circle people with specific expertise, and seeks & carefully considers their advice when making decisions.

Trump is choosing acolytes who will simply carry out his orders as he attempts to run an autocracy. Apparently now he intends to do an end run around the Senate when assembling his cabinet. How autocratic can you get?

In his last administration his greatest irritation was the very slate of experts who he kept firing and who kept quitting, and who now warn the nation about him. He is utterly convinced (and has often verbalized) that “I know more than…”

He doesn’t, and this Trump Train is headed for a wreck.

Nope!, but the Libs will do everything they can to try to make him fail. Just like they did last time. It won't work.
