Good luck getting the MAGAggots to weigh in on the IVF issue. It is a real conundrum for them. If a zygote is a human an embryo is damn near an adult. So if abortion is murder and women should have to listen to middle aged white men tell them what to do with their bodies, what are we supposed to do with all these unused embryos? This sort of thing gives them a headache trying to reconcile so they just pretend it does not really exist. Since we can force women to carry a fetus, maybe we should just mandate that women can be randomly selected and forced to be surrogates for the unused embryos.

All the other predicted, and “unintended consequences” of their advocacy have gave them no pause.

The post is not for them. It is to make us all aware why Dobbs and the beliefs that created it are incorrect.

Folks need to see the consequences of the decision.

This is all good for our society, if not very pleasant to watch. Had Roe not deprived the citizens and states of their political say, we as a society would have gone through all this by 1980. Let them fight it out, as if this was a democracy. Maybe we get a constitutional amendment out of it in the end.

It was Plan Parenthood v Casey that gave the states a lot of authority over abortion if a state wanted to use it.

What is being permitted by Dobbs is worse then what they said they wanted to stop.

Roe created a “constitutional” right that Dobbs eliminated. Prior to Roe, the states regulated abortion and the constitution was silent. During Roe states were limited in what they could do with this alleged constitutional right. Dobbs places us back, pre-Roe. I am not going to take sides and pronounce judgment on which is right or wrong. Feel free to get out there and amend the constitution. That’s actually how new constitutional rights are supposed to be created, rather than having the unelected create them.

Roe created no more a right against the states than McDonald did.
