Harry Segal is a senior lecturer in the Psychology Department at Cornell University and in the Psychiatry Department at Weill Cornell Medicine. His research focus includes the study of personality disorders, future life anticipation and young adult development. “Objectively, Donald Trump has a documented history of lying that is so marked as to be considered 'pathological.' Politicians often say untrue things, but the frequency of Trump’s lying is so extreme as to meet criteria for sociopathic behavior, since he tells falsehoods across all life domains, from his personal relationships to business dealings and finally to politics. Recently, several clinicians have noted the ways he has begun to mistake words, lose his train of thought, confuse Biden with Obama, particularly during long rallies held in the evening. There are examples of phonemic paraphasia – swapping parts of words for others that sound similar; these are signs of early dementia, even though they are intermittent.

C'mon, you have to admit that Trump is one of the all time greatest liars of this generation. I actually think some of what he says that are lies are not actually intended to be lies. I think his ready, fire, aim way of speaking means that whatever brain fart floats into his mind, he spews out his mouth. Couple that with being stupid and voila you have an All Star Liar. Doesn't hurt too that his faithful sycophants like eating up his lies more than most folks like Milk Duds. Mike

I think that’s what happened when he got up in front of his minions and actually said “I don’t care about you, I just want your vote!” A true thought accidentally fell out of his mouth, the silent part was spoken, and in their spellbound adoration it was completely ignored. In his own words “nobody’s ever seen anything like it.”
