More stupid shit that you probably agree with him on....you seem as nuts as him lately.

"During the pandemic, he not only recklessly opposed the vaccines; he also made the baseless and seemingly antisemitic comment that Covid was engineered to spare Jews and Chinese people. He compared anti-Covid public health measures to the Holocaust and claimed Dr. Anthony Fauci was orchestrating “fascism.” (Kennedy published an entire book in 2021 outlandishly attacking Fauci, asserting this public health official, over his decades-long career, had mounted “a historic coup d’état against Western democracy.” In this book, he claimed that Fauci once funded testing of an AIDS treatment on a group of foster children and many of them died because of the experiment—a scurrilous allegation that has been debunked.) Kennedy, who has no training in science or medicine, also hyped unproven treatments for Covid, including hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin.

In 2022, Kennedy pushed a wild-eyed theory about the pandemic that showed how bonkers he can be. He claimed that a global elite led by the CIA had been planning for years to use a pandemic to end democracy and impose totalitarian control on the entire world. This was Alex Jones-level crazy. But Kennedy fervently insisted he had proof: the ominous-sounding Event 201. That was the name of a pandemic simulation held at a New York City hotel in October 2019, months before Covid struck. In one podcast, he said that no one had to take his word on this claim of a diabolical scheme and that you could look up Event 201 and even watch its recorded proceedings on YouTube. I did and discovered the simulation, conducted publicly by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, was a rather anodyne gathering of corporate execs, former government officials, and policy experts that did not come close to matching Kennedy’s description of it. Yet Kennedy maintained this exercise was proof of a worldwide plot to exploit a pandemic to “execute a coup d’etat against democracy.” Only an observer far removed from reality could sit through the three-and-a-half-hour-long Event 201 and reach such a loony conclusion."

I picked up a container of beautiful looking shrimps in Costco a couple of years ago. When I ate the first one it tasted weird. Looking on the ingredients on the carton they had artificial sweetener in them. Why the hell would you ruin such lovely food by adding that crap. I had to throw the whole lot out.

I don't understand why there is anyone out there who could possibly think adding sweetener to seafood would make it taste better but I guess thats the US market. I think we are fast going the same way with the amount of soda I see people drink now.

I do as well. The problem is he already told Sen Corn Syrup he would stay in his lane during confirmation.

A lot of this is going to have to come from legislation. I do not see that happening.

Until then we need to have a campaign to have people make better choices. They are available. Especially, geared toward young people creating better habits.

Locally, a State Rep proposed not allowing state benefits to be used to purchase candy, chips, coke, and etc. The community forced him to apologize.

Legislation is going to have to be the answer since Dr. Easter’s far right groups successfully agitated the ability of our agencies to actually regulate away. Like Justice Alito said, “Change the law.”

RFK Jr. dodges question on if he is being controlled after his ex-running mate suggested he is not in charge
Story by Kelly Rissman • 11h • 2 min read

Excerpt:

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump announced that Dr. Casey Means, a surgeon-turned-wellness influencer, will replace Janette Nesheiwat as his surgeon general nominee. In an interview on Thursday, Fox News host Bret Baier questioned Kennedy over recent remarks made by his former running mate, Nicole Shanahan, during his brief 2024 presidential run, who suggested he was being “controlled.”

“I don’t know if RFK very clearly lied to me, or what is going on. It has been clear in recent conversations that he is reporting to someone regularly who is controlling his decisions (and it isn’t President Trump),” she wrote on social media this week.

Kennedy dodged the question.

“Listen, you’ve got sitting here four people who were all canceled during Covid,” he told Baier, referring to the men sitting next to him: Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary , and National Institutes of Health director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya.

“The entire leadership of this agency are renegades who are juggernauts against convention and who are trying to look for truth, no matter what the cost. Casey is among those,” Kennedy said.

The Fox News host also pressed the secretary about Means’ background, noting the swift criticism she’s already received.

“Obviously, she’s come under her own criticism about some of the things she’s advocated for, she never finished her residency, and she doesn’t currently have an active medical license,” Baier said. “But that’s not an issue?”

Kennedy defended her accomplishments, mentioning that she was at the “top of her class” at Stanford University.

Means “walked away from traditional medicine because she was not curing patients,” the secretary replied. “She couldn’t get anybody within her profession to look at the nutrition contributions to illness, and she said, ‘If we’re really gonna heal people, if we’re healers, we can’t just be making our life about billing new procedures. We actually have to figure out new approaches to medicine, and that’s the kind of leadership that she’s gonna bring to our country.”

When asked about what happened with Nesheiwat, who withdrew her bid for the post, Kennedy said the administration believed Means “was the best person to really bring the vision of [Make America Healthy Again] to the public.”

Was the food pyramid wrong?

https://www.google.com/search?...sclient=gws-wiz-serp

AI Overview

The Food Pyramid, a visual representation of dietary guidelines, was criticized for several reasons:

Overemphasis on carbohydrates:
.
The pyramid placed a large emphasis on grains and carbohydrates, which could lead to excessive consumption of refined grains and sugary foods.

Lack of differentiation between food groups:
.
The pyramid did not distinguish between healthy and unhealthy fats, such as saturated and unsaturated fats.

Inaccurate portrayal of portion sizes:
.
The pyramid did not provide clear guidance on portion sizes, which could lead to confusion and overeating.
Failure to account for individual dietary needs:
.
The pyramid did not take into account individual dietary needs, such as allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences.

Outdated science:
.
The pyramid was based on scientific evidence from the 1980s, which has since been updated.

In 2011, the Food Pyramid was replaced by MyPlate, a more comprehensive and evidence-based dietary guide that emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy. While MyPlate is not without its critics, it is generally considered to be a more accurate and scientifically sound representation of healthy eating habits.

To highlight the point - things change. In this case they say the science changed with more evidence, etc.

Now reconcile that with:

Public health professionals
Epidemiologists are public health professionals who investigate the patterns and causes of diseases and injuries. They work in various settings, including health departments, hospitals, and academic institutions, and typically require at least a master's degree in public health or a related field. Their responsibilities include identifying disease outbreaks, conducting research to establish factors leading to public health issues, and developing strategies to control or prevent disease spread. There are different types of epidemiologists, each specializing in various aspects of public health, such as infectious diseases, chronic diseases, or environmental health.

No, Dr. Marty Makary is not an epidemiologist. He is a surgical oncologist, health policy researcher, and the current Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He is known for his work on healthcare policy, patient safety, and medical ethics.

==========================================================

Makary was a Fauci basher:

https://www.washingtonexaminer...e-covid-19-response/

Four high-profile doctors who are challenging the COVID-19 response
By
Cassidy Morrison
January 11, 2022 2:49 pm

Makary is a professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a fixture for the last two years on Fox News Channel, where he often takes issue with Fauci and the broader U.S. government response to COVID-19. He has been especially critical of what he believes is the federal public health apparatus’ ignorance of the natural immunity acquired by those who survive COVID-19 infection. Fauci and other public health officials under the Trump and Biden administrations, Makary argues, have placed too strong an emphasis on getting vaccinated as being the only way to prevent severe infection and death due to the virus.

“You can spin science just like one can spin politics and the art of selective outrage or selective focus on part of the story,” Makary told the Washington Examiner.

In addition to decrying the government’s unwillingness to recognize natural immunity, Makary also opposes what he sees as an all-out government campaign to vaccinate young, healthy people without fully considering potential adverse effects, such as myocarditis, a type of heart inflammation that has occurred in some cases following mRNA vaccination, primarily in young men.

“Dr. Fauci brings a significant bias toward vaccines as the solution to the pandemic. I agree that vaccines are an important tool in response to the pandemic, but there’s a way in which it’s been such an intense focus on vaccination that is kind of to the exclusion of recognizing the role of therapeutics and natural immunity,” Makary said.

Trained in surgical oncology and gastrointestinal surgery, Makary saw patients and served on the faculty of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine while conducting research. He was a pioneer in the laparoscopic surgical method used at Hopkins known as the Whipple procedure, a minimally invasive method to remove cancerous tumors from the pancreas. He has worked with the federal government on medical research looking into the causes and treatments for obesity. Makary is also a widely published public health policy expert who has championed greater price transparency and public reporting of care quality measures by hospitals.

Everyone is entitled to mistakes…ie: supporting 0bama.

While Makary is a trained surgeon…he has dedicated the latter part of his professional career to epidemiology.

quote:
Marty Makary has made significant contributions to epidemiology, primarily through his research and public health advocacy at Johns Hopkins University. His roles in epidemiology include:

1. **Public Health Researcher**: Makary has focused on population health, studying the underlying causes of disease, vulnerable populations, and the epidemiology of cancer. His work includes examining public health strategies to address obesity, antimicrobial resistance, and the impact of the microbiome on disease. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed articles, many of which address epidemiological topics such as frailty, patient safety, and health care quality.[](https://www.jhsph.edu/faculty/directory/profile/1565/martin-a-makary)[](https://hub.jhu.edu/2024/12/01/marty-makary-fda-appointment/)

2. **Professor of Health Policy and Management**: At the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Makary taught health policy and management, integrating epidemiological principles into his work on health care delivery and public health strategies.[](https://www.jhsph.edu/faculty/directory/profile/1565/martin-a-makary)

3. **Advocate for Evidence-Based Public Health**: Makary has been a vocal commentator on public health issues, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. He contributed to epidemiological discussions by questioning vaccine mandates, advocating for the recognition of natural immunity, and critiquing public health policies like school closures and mask mandates for children. His 2021 Wall Street Journal op-ed predicted herd immunity by April 2021, though this was later proven incorrect due to subsequent COVID-19 variants.[](https://theweek.com/health/marty-makary-trump-fda-covid)[](https://kffhealthnews.org/news/article/marty-makary-covid-abortion-fda-pandemic-critic-confirmation-hearing/)[](https://time.com/7265012/marty-makary-trump-nominee-fda/)

4. **Developer of Safety and Quality Metrics**: Makary’s epidemiological contributions include developing tools like the Surgical Checklist, which he co-authored and helped implement with the World Health Organization. This checklist reduced surgical complications and infections, impacting global health outcomes. He also led research on frailty as a predictor of surgical outcomes, influencing how epidemiological risk factors are assessed in clinical settings.[](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_Makary)[](https://www.jhsph.edu/faculty/directory/profile/1565/martin-a-makary)[](https://kffhealthnews.org/news/article/marty-makary-covid-abortion-fda-pandemic-critic-confirmation-hearing/)

5. **Director of Research Initiatives**: As the founder of the Johns Hopkins Center for Surgical Outcomes Research and Clinical Trials, Makary directed studies that often incorporated epidemiological methods to evaluate health interventions, patient outcomes, and health care costs. His leadership in the Improving Wisely project, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, used epidemiological data to identify and reduce low-value care practices.[](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_Makary)[](https://hub.jhu.edu/2024/12/01/marty-makary-fda-appointment/)

While Makary’s primary clinical role was as a surgeon, his epidemiological work has been influential in shaping public health policy, patient safety protocols, and population-level health strategies. His controversial stances, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, have drawn both praise and criticism, with some arguing he cherry-picked data or overstated claims, such as the assertion that medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the U.S.[](https://theweek.com/health/marty-makary-trump-fda-covid)[](https://kffhealthnews.org/news/article/marty-makary-covid-abortion-fda-pandemic-critic-confirmation-hearing/)

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

Trump’s political movement, the methods of the movement, and a populace that champions ends against means is the philosophy that will come for us all.

Let us mot forget, De. Easter has stepped out of his lies fully embracing that the 2020 election was a fraud. However, in this assertion he knows it is false. All object evidence says so. Yet, it allows him to make an argument to folks that the prior Administration was illegitimate. This allows the conclusion, thst this Regime may break the rules to correct the illegitimate. None of which he believes to be objective truth. That is the lie.

Dr. Easter in this forum demonstrated hypocrisy and lies is valentines. Just this week he cheers the head of an administrative agency using agency power to “make us all healthier.” Okay, but he is the first to argue the overturning of Chevron that prevented the Courts from arbitrarily replacing the judgement of the agency with that of a judge. The two concepts are in opposition and cannot be reconciled.

Dr. Easter speaks of traditional values while demanding an Executive wield power the Constitution does nut give. De. Easter seeks the Executive to ignore and refuse to submit to the Checks and Balances enshrined in the Constitution as applied by the S. Ct. We have the Texas contingent in here routinely arbor the S. Ct., is not the final arbitrator of these disputes.

We have Dr. Easter supporting a president through an Executive Order voiding the 14th Amendment stripping citizenship to a class of people he simply does not like. Unilateral power of the Executive.

If one person who is entitled to due process can be denied due process by the Executive, and the courts’ orders to provide that due process ignored, all of us are vulnerable. When the state can void a marriage and criminalize the most private act between two consenting adults, the state can void and criminalize anything.

The simpleton would be Dr. Easter. Yet, he is not a simpleton. He knows these contradictions cannot be reconciled. He is much lower. He tries to justify, excuse, and lie to deceive folks that such political behavior, power, is good. It is only good because he agrees with the ends such political power is bringing now. The rest of us be damned.

Dr. Easter seeks the ability to force people to conform or be removed from the fabric and fill status in public as citizens.

No.

Dr. Easter’s ideology and the ideology that Trump is the figure head of will consume us all. It is a monster, that becomes the pet of the mob.

It is tyranny. It is oppression. Look how Dr. Easter lies to us about the economic impact of the Regime’s unconstitutional, never exercised in our history unilateral tariffs in time of peace.

Dr. Easter, as he supports a rejected by this S. Ct., holding, that the President can use an act passed in war, to deny mandated due process would support the Alien and Sedition Act. The Alien and Sedition Act was never held unconstitutional. It was never argued bf the S. Ct. Dr. Easter would permit, this Regime to unilaterally declare an emergency and a complicit Congress pass the Alien and Sedition Act, to prevent this Regime, the President from being opposed.

Anything worth saying once is worth saying twice.

Dr. Easter’s ideology and the ideology that Trump is the figure head of will consume us all. It is a monster, that becomes the pet of the mob.
