From either side, hysterical. That Fox can't think of anything better to cover than this is telling and funny. That any loony American could consider any of that seriously for a moment or more is telling and funny. For any side, this is a,"hold my beer and watch this!" moment. As I've now learned, the only response is, "gimme that beer! Oh, wait, let me get my phone out to record!". OMG.

Why not ? we deserve every advantage we can find. I've been known to identify as a woman, when it's the only bathroom available and they're usually cleaner. Grizz When the horse has been eliminated, human life may be extended an average of five or more years. James R. Doolitle I think they've been misunderstood. Timothy Tredwell

The sad thing is I have seen some of this. Not spinal transection requests, but amputate this or that, etc. It is a mental illness. The individuals involved ARE trying to use the rules re plastic surgery and gender transition as an argument to allow them to do this. Having physically handicapped relatives, I can't imagine this being good- nor can they. If the rule was out there, if you do this, you get no help for your self imposed handicap, and we will label you as a self mutilator so you get no sympathy or help, I suspect a lot of the motivation goes away... but not all. They are ill.
