She was a fine lady for sure.

Got a bit liberal in her rulings as she aged.

She was an inductee into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame.

J. Lane Easter, DVM

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

Her rulings are solid unlike your political opinions.

We need more like her at all levels and branches of government.

Which political opinions are those?

In particular.

The best story about her was that after she graduated from law school, a major law firm refused to offer her a position as a lawyer because she was a woman, but offered her a position as a legal secretary. Years later, after she was a Supreme Court Justice, she was invited to attend that firm's 100 year anniversary celebration as an honored speaker. And she not only attended, but she reminded them of that! I thought that was outstanding.
