Usually when you talk about ambulance chasers, you mean lawyers. But here your article doesn't mention lawyers, just price-gouging in the medical industry.

True.

But the price was hiked to pay all the lawyers suing them.

I guarantee you, get rid of 99% of your lawyers, get bs k into normal society, leaving all this suing behind, and the whole of America will be infinitely better! rotflmo

To do that we would have to make the killing of crooks and scum legal.

I am confident that the dried, crushed bodies of scammers and scum would have at least as much effect on old men's erections as rhino horn does...

The best win would be if we could convince the Chinese that middle eastern testicle would make their Willy's hard!

The whole world would be safer, including rhinos!

Saeed,

Agree with your assessment about plaintiff's lawyers. They say on their websites that they are devoted to helping people and they join organizations such as the "Christian Trial Lawyers", but what they care about most is getting 40% of anything they can extort from the defendants.

I know you hate all lawyers, but there are two kinds of lawyers. I'm one that stands between the plaintiffs' lawyers and you and your business.

They would have to be sold by the microgram...

The entire Middle East wouldn't supply two kilos.

Spoken like an indoctrinated insurance defense lawyer.

How do you suppose poor and even middle class people can afford a dispute in the legal system, if not for 33-40 percent contingency representation? Can you suggest a better, fairer system for people to obtain compensation for injuries caused by someone else's negligence?

You'd probably like nothing better than to bulldoze pro se litigants. Most plaintiff's lawyers I knew were very picky about the cases they took. Unless you've signed up for a pro bono case, no one likes to do a lot of work for nothing. Forty percent of nothing is nothing.

By the way, have you ever personally represented a pro bono client? I assume there is a pro bono system through your bar association, so how often did you donate your time to help?
