It will be something you'll be reminded of in about three weeks when he loses again and tries to overturn the result of the election via fraud and lies. Regarding why it's close....I have no explanation in relation to why anybody would ever support trump. I get not supporting Harris, that one is understandable. Historians already rank Biden as the 14th best President the U.S. has had, before his term is up, but to hear you and your ilk tell it he's an abject failure. Within a few years, with perspective, he'll be in the Top Ten. People forget just how fucked up Trump left everything, Afghanistan already surrendered with a token 2,000 troops for Biden to extract, COVID running wild, an economy predicted to at least go into a deep recession, if not a depression, imminently, no transition between administrations so the Biden Administration had to start from scratch, the Capitol just sacked in an attempted coup d'etat. From the pile of crap he inherited Biden built the leading economy in the world, set the stage for, now, 15 million new jobs, made the U.S. the leading energy producer on the planet, broke OPEC's back after almost 50 years of them controlling the world market at their whim. He made the minefield Trump left into a dance floor by comparison, and Kamala Harris was involved every step of the way. We had 2,000 troops left in Afghanistan and Trump had surrendered every airfield but Bagram to the Taliban. 2,000 was marginally enough for self-defense to let them sit there for no reason since they could provide no support or assistance to the Afghan Army with what Trump left them. After 4 years of Trump appointees there was nothing left of the Obama Administration and incoming officials got none of the customary briefings and coordination. Why can either one put forward better candidates. You (the republicans) had a sane and competent choice in Haley, but still chose Trump. At least the dems had the sense to replace Biden. The system is broken, and it will never get fixed until people hold their representatives to account for their behaviour. If they vote for Trump, even if he is perceived as the lesser evil, it’s just enabling his behaviour and those that do so are part of the problem. Same with the opposite side of the aisle. | |||
