I see you have a typo.

Greene hit her mark,

Jtex: With nothing bout blind faith in Trump just knows Trump was prosecuted to keep Jtex types from political power. They the DOJ controlled the state prosecution.

That Trump is mot responsible for Jan 6.

You are a very sad and angry little msn.

Have you ever flown a flag upside down?

Justice Alito’s wife has.

I invite you to read the position of the theologian I posted earlier

You highly accomplished Texas boys are having a hard time understanding basic comprehension.

Dr. Easter let the truth be known what Greene was doing w her comparison.

I am not the one using terms like injun and redskin.

We know the answer.

She used Jesus and Trump being convicted felons bc she either:

A) believes Trump was prosecuted falsely for political reasons. Reasons that include a desire to end a socio-political movement,

or

B) she does not believe A, but knows a lot of folks who will rally to her, the ideological grass roots advocates rally she seeks to lead will rally to her when she makes the comparison.

Greene has a long history of found B from Holocaust denial, to Space lasers, and denial of Jan 6.

I infer she was engaging in B do to her past history.

My advise:

Don't even try to get into her head.

Just listen to what she says and be amazed.

Also, realize she is elected by those who buy into her BS.

I read that she is one of the most effective fund raiser for GOPers.

Former President Donald Trump praised Marjorie Taylor Greene as a 'quiet, shy professional' during his remarks at the Detroit Turning Point USA event last night.

His characterization got some boos from the audience.

Ignore her.

If you are a constituent you can vote for her opponent. The rest of us have little say, and if we ignore her the media stops putting her in the spotlight and fulfilling her need for publicity.

Both beings had the justice systems of their respective governments used against them simply because the government didn’t like their message.

Impossible to find examples except from third world countries and whom no one would recognize. She chose Jesus as the actions taken against are similar and the voting base has the name recognition.

Yes, Ledvm, you just compared Trump to Jesus Christ.

Maybe they both have long toenails--if you compare the two, compare Trump's mortal toenails to Jesus' divine ones, it is sacrilege by centuries of Christian faith.

It's also sacrilege to compare Trump's criminal due process with the tortures inflicted on Jesus. You know Trump will not be sentenced to torture and death.

By your own religious doctrine, you're putting your immortal soul at risk. Not my place to judge, but you ought to think about what you really believe before a new rationalization takes over.

For pages now, all of you have gone on ad nauseum either condemning MTG or deflecting or her rather than supporting her.

WTF guys?!?!?!?! This could be our moment! Our real life, this day and age moment when we can give someone really and truly whacky a seat with real federal power! I can see it; I can see MTG three place seats away from the Oval Office. We know she draws a lot of money, she's got her own tshirts, we can get her into the Speakers seat!

Think Antelope Oregon and the Bhagwan, think Jones Town Guyana and the Kool aid. They had their moment and MTG could be ours.

I am so disappointed none of you see this.

The above should not even be in question by Christians. The blasphemy of Greene and now Dr. Easter is apparent. They have elevated the prophecy of Jesus’ death as a sacrifice for sin, to a political hack who was given and continues to receive due process under our legal system. The system worked and is working.

It is and they are revolting to make crass political desire. Ye, Dr. Easter and Greene are using Jesus as a mask because they know better for politics.

Dr. Easter likes to lecture on abominations. He needs to start praying for himself.

However, we have seen most folks Christian education does not go any deeper than my preacher says so.

More bullshit. You beat me at nothing, except in your own mind.

My point sailed over your head. It doesn't matter HOW she compared them--she compared them. It doesn't matter how she compared them, whether it's toenails or "actions taken against them."

To compare Trump's situation brought on by himself to Christ's suffering before and on the cross is sacrilege by the faith you profess to follow.

And btw, "compare" and "liken" are synonyms. So by admitting she compared them in whatever way, you concede she did compare Trump to your Savior.

You're putting religion second to your political affiliation. As I said, it's not my place to judge, but if there is a Biblical God, he's got to be disappointed and angry with you.

I had religious training until I was eighteen. It's hypocrites like you (along with the absurdity of the doctrine) that led me to reject the Christian faith. That doesn't make me an atheist. I'm actually more of a Deist, like Thomas Jefferson.

Dr. Easter should be more concerned about his relationship w the Christian Messiah.

Dr. Easter is also a lier who know Trump was compared to Jesus. He knows such comparisons are blasphemous. However, he does not care bc to press the comparison as he has done, is to elevate Trump to the Savior. That serves his Christian Nationalist goals. A goal more important than reverence for the Savior.

Trump has not and never can be treated like Jesus by the state. That should have been every Christians response to Greene, at the least.

To quote my former decan who is now decades on this issue of Trump and his prosecution, “ Dr. Easter is as lost as a bd y duck in an uncut hey field.”

As to all of your inquiries…figure them out for yourself.

In its entirety…I never defended MTG in this thread or made comparisons. I merely pointed out that Steve had it right and MTG didn’t actually liken Trump to Christ on merits of the beings — she compared actions taken against them.

It seems to me that in the two sentences quoted you are defending and making comparisons, and BTW rationalizing.

The second sentence contradicts itself. Martyrs are deemed such by "the merits of their beings" and "actions taken against them" by the establishment, whether Roman law or US rule of law. A martyr is so deemed in the eye of the beholder.

What's odd about MTG's and your comparisons of Christ and Trump, and worship thereof, is Trump is the antithesis (antichrist) of Christ. IOW, in this context the use of the word martyr is Christ is the legit martyr and Trump is the Toxic Martyr, yet MTG and you in defense compare the two favorably.

And another thing -- claiming that MTG didn't make comparison, liken, Trump with Christ is like saying she didn't make analogy with Roman law and US constitutional rule of law regarding the persecutions. And, the false conflation of persecution with prosecution.

Her assertions in the speech were loaded with Christian Nationalist BS, dogma, belief, propaganda, indoctrination.

It's clear that she did make such utterly false and twisted analogies.

Everyone here has read your comparisons and defense of Greene making those comparisons. You made similar comparisons in your support.

Your response, like all Christians, should have been as follows:

Ms. Greene’s attempt to equate the trial and crucifix took of our Savior to the due process given to Trump is religious pandering, insulting to our work as Christians, and dangerous. Christians are not here to insure any one political party dominates an earthly government. Jesus made this clear when he rebuked Peter and walked off to this doom, but our glory. Jesus was the only begotten Son of God. Jesus was tts only being capable of fulfilling the law of the Old Testament Covenants. This perfect life was sacrificed and resurrected to remit the Sin brought to humanity by the disobedience of man to God.

Jesus’ conviction was at the hands of a foreign power, Rome. Jesus being into the hands of Rome by the ruling Sadducees, who position me of power had been granted by Rome. Jesus conviction and condemnation being sanctioned by the mob. The Governor Pilate only acquiescing to the conviction and execution to prevent civil unrest. However, these actions were necessary and prophetic. Jesus had to be slain as part of the Grace Convenient. The remission of sin could not be completed without blood, death. Likewise, the complete remission, the full reunification of God to his creation required the life of a being who could, and did satisfy the Law Covenants. Jesus stood as a lamb slain before the world.

However, Trump, his trial, and his conviction are not unjustified necessity of a greater faith as Jesus trial was. Trump was tried under the laws of his nation, by the home jurisdiction and venue properly in place. Trump was given every due process right our system of government affords. The least of these being; 1) the right to trial by jury, 2) the right to counsel, 3) the right against self-incrimination, 4) the right not to have his invocation of the right against self-incrimination used as evidence of guilt, 5) the right to confront witnesses, 6) the right to call witnesses on his own behalf, 7) the right to present evidence in support of his innocence, 8) a right to an unanimous verdict, a right to be tried by no less than 12 jurors, 7) the right to not just counsel, but competent counsel, 9,) presumption, a mandated legal conclusion, of innocence that had to be rebutted beyond a reasonable doubt, and
10) right to appeal. There are a few more.

Jesus was afforded none of these rights. Trump as a citizen of the United States are guaranteed these rights through the Incorporation Doctrine and Fundamental Rights Doctrine by the Federal Government against state actions. Trump was tried and convicted under the rules our and he, individually, Agee to play by. Trump continues to receive the protection of these rights through No.9 above.

Jesus conviction and crucifixion, such as they were, were necessary and required to restore humanity to God. Trump’s conviction and subsequent punishment is supported in the law with every due process right being extended.

Jesus was tried, convicted, and crucified to bring a plan of salvation to the works humanity could not implement. Trump was tried, convicted, and faces punishment for his behavior only.

Ms. Greene’s attempt to unify in motivation being societal control by Jesus’ prosecutors and end goal being the removal of an innocent populate leader by Jesus’ prosecutors to Trump is disrespectful. Her attempt is not only disrespectful to Christians as a whole, but the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus ripping the Law Covenants as the curtain was ripped apart in the Temple for the establishment of Grace. Ms. Greene seeks only to mislead and create civil unrest among Christians to the liberal and free society we agree to live with civil covenants of rights and obligations. Ms. Greene seeks nothing but crass, political power by her words. Actions Jesus instructed against, lived opposite to, and, in part, died over.

Therefore, Ms. Greene’s actions only underscore her unworthiness to lead in the political sphere. Her actions only demonstrate her willing to sell Christianity as a carnival show to the masses.

Something like that should have been every person’s response to this thread on here.

Instead we have a select few of Christian thinkers who agree whatever means to bring about a Christian Culture and Christian enforced societal structure is to be used. However, they do not want that society to be controlled by sects that see their past behavior such as divorce to be legislated against.

These types remind me of in the Old Testament where the offering would not lite.
ME’s response above is spot on.

I've got something new for yawl.

The cultists love the term they coined - TDS. We have beat that one to pieces, and flipped it.

ASS is the new acronym. Actual Stupidity Syndrome

It's soooo fitting for the self-inflected, induced, cherished stupidity we see demonstrated by otherwise intelligent but not wise people.

TDS, if it exists, is a reaction to something toxic.

ASS is an assertion of something toxic.
