A new ranking of presidents by a group of self-styled experts determined that Abraham Lincoln is America's greatest president, while Donald Trump ranks last.

Lincoln topped the list of presidents in the 2024 Presidential Greatness Project expert survey for the third time, following his top spot in the rankings in the 2015 and 2018 versions of the survey.

Not really.

Just because he turned against them.

The worst president this country has ever had is in office right now. Not far behind Jimmy Carter or Obama. All Democrats.

Per my far-right friend: "reality sucks"

D.J. Trump aka Trumpism's Founding Farter, aka Farter Martyr. Qualifications: flatulence - mental, oral and anal.

Yet, he OWNS the GOP.

And it's getting worse.

Most of the RINOs, the good republicans, have been run off, left or leaving.

Even Republican respondents ranked Trump 41st out of 45.
Obama and Biden were listed 6th and 13th by Democrats, and 15th and 30th by Republicans.
Clinton was ranked higher by Republicans (10th) than Democrats (12th).

I think Biden and Trump should be rated practically side by side. I can't say for sure that either one should rank as the worst, but both could be in contention. I think that spot belongs to LBJ.
The best, in my view, was Teddy Roosevelt, but that may be just because I like that he was an outdoorsman. Regards, Bill

I think it’s concerning that Biden is too old, but Churchill was drunk 24/7 and he did alright. With a circle of responsible handlers, Biden should be suffice. He’ll have to, unfortunately.

Trump, on the other hand, is dangerously malevolent. He’d willingly, even with pleasure, destroy the nation he lusts to lead. He envies people like Kim and Putin and wants desperately to be as they are - he’s even verbalized it. “He knows how to handle power.”. “Maybe we should try that sometime”. But his brainwashed acolytes choose to ignore that reality, and yearn only to share in his twisted vision of a dictatorship/oligarchic America.

I think that it true. It's the people you bring in to do the actual work that counts. Trump swore he was bringing in the very best, then brought in a bunch of yes-men and idiots. Trump enjoys feeling a warm finger in his butt. Trump will never admit to not being the smartest person in the room. That is his primary weakness.....other than having zero morals of course.

In ten years Biden will move into the Top Ten, his accomplishments in the face of Republican obstruction will demand it.

Trump will never move off the bottom, he's the flounder of Presidents.

That’s your opinion.

Trump may have had some good policy decisions.

He also made some abysmal calls.

The bad outweigh the decent in my book…

But Biden bring in the top ten? You have got to be kidding!

We are too close temporarily speaking to make any grand claims about good or bad overall performance as compared to 200+ years of history.

Frankly that Lincoln is considered a better president than Washington to me draws question about the metrics being used.

Washington could have made himself king if he wanted to.

He retired after two terms and set the standard for peaceable transfer of power.

While I agree that Lincoln is number 2, we overlook how big a deal this was. The first to even get close to not following Washington’s example is Trump.

Says little for the Donald.

Trump’s inaction and temper tantrum relating to losing the election have relegated him to the bottom of the list… regardless of his other qualities.

Of course it's "my opinion", I don't depend on Fox or National Review to tell me what my opinion should be.

I agree w this. Adams and Jefferson get a lot of credit for this peaceful transition as well.

The election of 1796 was the first contested election, and the first election organized parties played a role. That was a hot election with Jefferson’s personal character being attacked by the Federalist. Now, I focus on Adams and Jefferson because they were the top two EC voter getters. I think Thomas Pinckney caused Jefferson the win.
