https://apple.news/A4mhq-b92RiKg3rr7Bs5RkQ What the Faction cannot get around is No state judge, no state prosecutor, no Fed judge, and no Fed prosecutor can do what the Conservatives on the S. Ct. have done. Congress and the President cannot engage in the unethical behavior the conservatives S. Ct. Justices have done. I honestly believe impeachment is the best answer. I question that the Constitution permits Congress to place ethical standards not found in the Constitution on the Justices. State Legislatures have tried with their courts. Those state actions have all been invalidated. However, state Courts swing the writing on the wall “voluntarily” enacted ethical standards for Judges. State Judges including State Supreme Court Justices can be sanctioned and removed for violating these ethical standards. The S. Ct. is loosing legitimacy. Without legitimacy, our political system fails. The S. Ct. must adopt ethical reform. What will happen if it refuses, then invalidates Congress’ attempt? The result is the S. Ct Court will be expanded in number of justices. I have not supported this expansion. However, I will if the S. Ct. refuse to correct on ethics. The ethics of the S. Ct. should be an easy bi-partisan issue. I believe outside of the Faction, which are a minority, it is. One thing is certain. The Status Quo is not sufficient because the Conservative Justices broke it. My reading is Justice Scilla also engaged in this what would be unethical behavior for everyone else. The S. Ct. wants to enjoy being free of political pressure. Well, you cannot have mega donors buying your mom’s house then. Another thing the Faction cannot reconcile is if George Soros had bought Justice Ginsburg’s mother’s house, they would each have their own post on such evil. https://apple.news/A4mhq-b92RiKg3rr7Bs5RkQ Folks think FDR lost the Court Packing argument. Look at what the S. Ct. Justices did to save legitimacy after FDR pushed that legislation. They retried, and FDR got his Supreme Court picks to validate the New Deal. FDR won the debate over the S. Ct. Such can happen again. | ||
