Dr. Easter told us prices would not go up.
This a real step toward Communism being an Executive telling a private company what it can sale at what margin due to the government’s direct interference in a feee market. That direct interference being tariffs.
Now, if Congress has passed tariff legislation, signed by the President, and the President not try to influence sellers as far as profit margin/pricing, I would have no complaints.

Other companies have announced price increases, and more are expected to do so.
Ford Motor said it would raise prices on three of its popular vehicles. And Birkin handbag maker Hermès said its prices in the U.S. would rise.

Wal-Mart has already raised prices 15-20% on hundreds of items. Now they are saying they will have to raise prices later this month as if they haven't already. So much for that phony mythical 3% inflation rate shit. Anybody who shops at Wal-Mart knows this already.

TumbleweedWhat I find mystifying is how he kept insisting that tariffs would “bring in trillions of dollars”. He actually seemed to think that foreign suppliers would be sending him money!
It sounds like reality might be finally sinking in. I don’t think he’s playing with a full deck.
He should stick to humping porn stars and leave economics to those with a talent for it.
The Billions aren't rolling into this household, maybe he means that we will pay fewer taxes next April or that they will borrow less money over the course of this year.
We will survive this, just like the S&L Crisis, the 2008 Great Recession, and so forth.
And we will giggle when the powers-that-were explain their genius.

The President made a big deal of prices on everyday goods when he used it to win the White House.
Now, the President has single handily and constitutionally dubiously made that harm to average Americans worse.
