OK, enjoy the spectacle of a decades-long Libertarian voter wondering about drug policy (that would be me)...

A bipartisan group of 50 US lawmakers have requested that Attorney General Merrick Garland provide information on illegal marijuana grow operations in the US that are linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Cannabis is illegal in China except for industrial purposes (hemp)[1] and some forms of medicine. Historically, cannabis has been used in China for fiber, seeds, as a traditional medicine, as well as for some ritual purposes within Taoism.

When OK legalized the growth of medical marijuana…the Chinese flooded to the State and started farms without permits. They have busted a half-dozen within 5 miles of my OK hospital. I have a huge field of marijuana 50 ft from our hospital entrance…used to be a vegetable farm. It is staffed with Chinese workers but is apparently permitted as I have had the OK State Police investigate a couple of incidents.

I really don’t have any problem with people smoking weed but what I’m seeing in states who legalized weed is insanity so I’m rethinking this drug legalization is road to perdition
