I wonder if it will happen?

When I worked for others I much preferred DST as the schedule allowed more daylight time after work. So this was a benefit if one liked to do outdoor things. I could care less now that I work for myself.

The argument is kids in the dark at bus stops. I don't see a lot of them standing out like in my day. They are usually driven to school by mom/dad or get to sit in the car at the end of the driveway waiting for the bus.

An alternative is to start work hours earlier if staying on Standard time. Start school hours later if staying on DST. Would either happen? I doubt it. Society is by and large too rigid.

I hate stand time. Make DST year round. Getting dark at 4:30 pm just sucks.

Noon is when the sun is at apogee.

Changing that for convenience is nonsense.

To me, if I want to get up earlier, I get up earlier… and if the sun sets before 7PM when I am working, it’s dark when I leave anyhow.

There is a reason why it’s standard time.

The change in time screws me up, more so when DST goes in than when it goes out.

Get rid of DST. Places like AZ never use it anyhow. The changing is the bigger issue.

One way or the other, I don't care, but I don't like the change. I never used to change my clocks back before they do it automatically, I just recalculated. Had an associate candidate give that as a reason he didn't join the firm. He thought that was weird.
