Hypocrisy off the charts

wympleHypocrisy off the charts
So after blatantly gerrymandering Texas farther than it already was, The GOP is now whining their hypocritical asses off because California will counter. You can't make this shit up.
21 August 2025, 21:13
SaeedStupid VOTERS!
On both sides!

Wymple, you want to talk about hypocrisy? Illinois Democrats did it a couple of years ago to the state and now don't want to talk about it. Pritzger was asked on television recently and he changed the subject. Just like when he sent his family to their place in Wellington Florida at the start of Covid. He locked down the state but sent his family to a free RED state.
So the Texas Dem's flee to Illinois to avoid the vote. That's irony and hypocrisy all rolled up together.
That's hypocrisy off the charts!

wympleTexas magats complaining the very next day. Also, show me the evidence that Illinois redistricted unfairly. Maybe yes, maybe no. But we know Texas did. 8 million registered dems, 6.5 million republicans, who wins the rigged elections? If this were reversed IN TEXAS you'd all be screaming to the sky. Hypocrisy at it's highest level.

jeffeossoNothing on cali constitution?

jeffeossoAdditional topic
Dems have been trying to repeal the EC for decades. Literally trample the Constitution to win elections. Then many blue states are going to "popular vote winner gets all the economy votes"...
Last election was 30:20 states, including popular vote and ec.

Wymple, my district was the 16th now the 14th. Went from Republican to Democrat. My rep is now a Democrat from the suburbs. FACT!
Like most stuff you throw out, you will now duck and run. Answer Jeffeoso. Crickets.

jeffeossoOh, let's give him a chance to show its not partisan politics. Hey wymple, show us your posts protesting the Illinois redistricting?
Can you? Were you even aware of it happening, realtime

nuteDoes this whole corrupt process not normally happen after a census when there is supposedly an "imbalance " to correct?

Illinois did their redistricting after the 2020 census. Like almost everybody else.
The Texas redistricting is a mid-decade scam unrelated to population growth or shifting. It is designed to perpetuate the current republican hold on the government. It is only happening because trump asked the Texas republicans to do it. Shit, they openly admit that's what it is....this is the age of trump. You can lie, cheat on your wife, steal votes, and do any other damn shameful illegal thing and talk about it on TV. It makes you more popular with the Republicans.
Well, what goes around comes around. Thank god there are some Dems that are realizing you have to fight fire with fire.

You want to wager how that vote turns out?
22 August 2025, 19:47
Mike MitchellThe current system is screwed up. There should be independent bi-partisan commissions set up to handle redistricting.

jeffeossoSure Mike,
I will take the "it passes" side and the bet is dinner at pappas brothers.. you get the it fails side...

The number of Representatives is fixed by law at 435 and each state must have at least 1.
The six states with only one representative in the U.S. House are: Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming. These states are allocated only one representative due to their relatively small populations.
From:
https://www.google.com/search?...ceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8""The average population per U.S. representative is around 761,169 people, according to the 2020 Census data. This number has steadily increased over time due to an arbitrary cap of 435 members in the House of Representatives, a limit that has remained constant since 1910 despite significant population growth""
So you would divide the population in a district by 761,169 to get the number of Reps for that district. Also the boundaries of a district can be manipulated to favor one party over another which is known as gerrymandering.
You would divide the population of the state by 761,169 to get the number of Reps for that state.
Give me a home where the buffalo roam and I'll show you a house full of buffalo shit.

JudgeG https://apps.texastribune.org/...al-election-results/Looking at the 2024 elections (and maps included in the article), maybe the redistricting reflects those numbers.

all 537 "leader" positions should be random draws from districts, and then Potus and Veep should be randomly pulled from the random pull of candidates of the states ..
and they all have to do at least 1 full term, no more than 2. don't care if it's 1 term as a 2y rep, and 1 term as a 6 year senator .. TWO ..
then they can go home -- but their "reelection" would also be random pull ...
any eligible voter, meeting the requirements of office, can be selected..
oh, an outlaw parties
