US authorities revealed they had foiled an artificial intelligence-powered Russian disinformation network that ran nearly 1,000 accounts on Elon Musk’s social media platform, X.

The “bot farm” was created by an editor at Russian state-owned media outlet RT, and funded by the Russian security service, according to court documents.

The accounts tended to pose as US citizens, and posted pro-Russia messaging, including claims that Ukraine is part of Russia. Musk’s X suspended the accounts. The FBI said the bot farm was intended to “undermine our partners in Ukraine.”

And, you would be wrong.
Fox news has already run that story.
You folks run your mouth without even knowing what is going on around you.

I, likewise, saw on Fox News while visiting with relatives this evening the AI story.

Fox has many ills, but ignoring or covering this up is not one of them.

BTW, I don't shun Fox altogether. I want to know what the latest propaganda is, so I read and watch Fox's spew sometimes.

The thing I noticed about Fox is they can pivot between dis/misinformation, spin, propaganda and reality effortlessly or fluidly, certainly skillfully, often in the same report or narrative. Whatever gets the ratings.

They seem to have learned a lesson about lies, though, after it cost them millions. They still lie, but are more careful with plausible defense.

IMO, they know what they are doing. Also, IMO, they can't be trusted.
