I can stand in London and complain about whoever I want. The tube/ train/ busses can accept or decline ads that will be displayed on its property as they so wish, it’s up to them. I’d be willing to bet that public transport in Dubai would decline some of the stuff I see pasted up in stations here. | |||

The USA is a representative republic, not a democracy. Democracy is a dog whistle the Democrat Party wields. It is mob rule. They want the country to be a democracy so they can control the popular vote through propaganda and hence make themselves tyrants. Therefore, they concoct "wag the dog" scenarios all over the planet to justify government overreach. This includes manufactured wars and rumors of wars in order for the military industrial complex to enrich themselves and ultimately their cooperative political grifters like Biden, Bushes, etc. All the time trying to convince us it is in our best interest to send them all of our money to replace weapons given to warring parties to save democracy. So, we end up footing the bill for all of this bullshit going and coming. The rest of the world becomes cannon fodder. | |||

The point I don't see being recognised. Is that in a democracy if the issue re Advertising becomes something that's important to enough people, then it will be changed. Because that's democracy. rather than the whim of an individual. | |||

As someone who lives in a democracy, your view is naive. There are ways of producing democracy that are far better than what you describe. A simple improvement is a multi party system that allows for coalitions and cross party agreement. And lets not forget you guys and your system of no democracy, are still stuck in a two party system and therefore, mob rule. | |||

Yes they do. And anything that brings the truth out about their stupid policies cannot be brought out to the public! Five countries currently claiming to be “democratically ruled”. Australia, France, Germany, UK and the US. Are perfect examples of the total failures of so called DEMOCRACY! They all have become an absolute JOKE! Some parts of it. Busses tend to be companies, the trains are run by franchises ( which the current govt plans to partly renationalise), there are also a light railway in London again run by franchisees. The tube ( I think) is an owned subsidiary of TFL. The whole lot is ( in London) overseen by Transoprt for London, who also grant licenses for taxis etc. Compare the transport system as a whole to Berlin, Copenhagen or Helsinki and it’s an outdated and expensive mess, but it gets the job done, mostly, as long as everything is working. The tiniest problem brings it into chaos. | |||

Transport for London is owned by the government. Khan, the crooked mayor controls it. He is part of the labor government. And anything that brings bad publicity exposing their shenanigans he wouldn’t allow! Hence this advert was banned! | |||

Yes TFL is a govt organisation, but TFL doesn’t own the whole transport network in London. It’s a mishmash of subsidiary companies, privately owned companies and franchises. | |||

Yes I can, as long as I’m not causing an obstruction, no one is going to care. No one will listen to me either, but that’s not the point. There are a limited number of exclusion zones around abortion clinics to prevent intimidation of those wishing to use them so I would be moved on if I was in one of those. We currently have farmers protesting about tax changes bringing parts of London to a halt with tractors. | |||
