House Oversight Subpoenas Top Biden Handlers To Find Out Who's Running The Country

by Tyler Durden
Thursday, Jul 11, 2024 - 05:11 AM

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed three top White House aides on Wednesday, and has demanded that they sit for depositions concerning President Joe Biden's health - and who's actually running the country.

As Axios reports, Oversight chair James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed First Lady Jill Biden's top aide Anthony Bernal, deputy chief of staff Annie Tomasini, and senior adviser Ashley Williams, who the outlet described as "low-profile but very influential" inside the White House.

According to Wednesday letters, Comer cites Bernal and Tomasini's access to the first family's residence - which White House residence staff found 'unusual,' as 'political staffers often don't have such access.'

According to one former Biden aide, these three employees – Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, and Ashley Williams – have created “a protective bubble around” President Biden and he is “staffed so closely that he’s lost all independence.” -House Oversight Committee

Comer also writes that the committee is "concerned" that each official is "one of several White House staffers who have taken it upon themselves to run the country while the President cannot."

In his letter to Bernal — whose influence extends well beyond the first lady's office — Comer wrote: The "Committee seeks to understand the extent of Mr. Bernal's influence over the President and his knowledge of whether the President is personally discharging the duties of his office." -Axios

Tomasini, a close friend of the Biden family, maintained close relations with Hunter throughout the Obama administration - sometimes referring to him as her "brother," and often ending emails with "LY" (Love You), according to emails dating from 2010 to 2016.

"The White House has shielded three key aides from testifying about President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and now we’ve learned through reporting these same aides are also seeking to cover up President Biden’s declining cognitive state inside the White House. President Biden is clearly unfit for office, yet his staff are trying to hide the truth from the American people. Key White House staff must come before our committee so we can provide the transparency and accountability that Americans deserve," said Comer in a statement.

I'm not a "lib" and I don't think Joe should be running, that does not make Trump an acceptable choice though.

Who will run the country if Trump is re elected?

While Trump was telling us to swallow lightbulbs and inject kitchen cleaners he had some pretty great staff running the nation. Trump's Chief of Staff, Attorney General and Secretary of Defense were exceptional public servants.

I love everything about Trump's daughter, (respectfully!) but will she be in charge or Don jr?

MTG? Personally I hope so, I'll set my alarm to East Coast daylight just to read the headlines.

Trump will be busy speaking at rallies demanding the suspension of the Constitution so I'm hoping for Gavin Newsome to cross over with his ex Gullifoile, MTG, and Tuberville. Wayne LaPierre is currently unemployed and was successful in the public arena and that New York representative that got removed is looking for an opportunity.

Less of a shitshow with trump. What, you say? Top three issues: Well, we wouldn't have had millions of illegals added to the taxpayer rolls, our economy would have been much better (remember, ave family is paying 25% more to buy groceries, etc), I also believe fuel prices would have stayed stable. Then there is the exploding crime issue in many large urban areas.

Here's a fun example of that. My ultra liberal Pacnor living 84YO father is upset he has to carry a firearm to go to the local pot shop to buy his weed. The shop is under armed guard (two of them) and built like a bank vault and the weed is kept locked up. When a purchase is made, one is escorted by the armed guard for the process.

Only in America! He voted to defund the police and went for every other stupid policy they can think of there to make 'law'. 2020

Actually, if you can remember back a little over four years ago, the shit show with Trump was MUCH larger. Even if you don't take J the 6th into account which was the single biggest shit show to occur during my lifetime.

You can always count on Ann to provide an alternate reality.

Once again, you look at everything terms of politics.

Trust me on this, Colorado has plenty going on that I don't agree with, but having traveled extensively, I can't think of anywhere else I would want to call home.

Things are not so bad here, especially where I live.

Steve, I have several friends living in CO. While they like it they say it is very expensive. Some long time friends initially moved there when weed was legalized.

And don't worry, I have traveled as well. I have moved to get away from destructive liberal govts more than once and glad I did.

For your state I see stupid things like importing wolves to feed in cattle pastures and laws being submitted to stop wild feline hunting happening. Colorado is not getting better as a state allowing certain freedoms and that is because of the liberals ruling you. I think you know these things snowball and has a hunter and shooter your time is coming to an end there. It's just a matter of time, probably shorter than you think.

Trump has said he wanted the Constitution suspended.

Trump has also said he'd pardon those convicted for January 6th.

I think I'm correct in these quotes, if you think I need to double check I will. "Shitshow"?
If you don't think we have thousands of fellow Americans out there at least interested in suspending the Constitution, committing other seditious crimes and counting on a pardon from President Trump I don't think you've a full understanding of shitshow.

I moved here 30 years ago next month, bought a house shortly thereafter in the mountains, for me cost of living is not bad. Property taxes are very reasonable to me, I move hear from the East coast in rates are far lower here. I have killer views, public land out my back door, good hunting for birds as well as big game.

For your state I see stupid things like importing wolves to feed in cattle pastures and laws being submitted to stop wild feline hunting happening. These are ballot initiatives which I do not agree with, direct democracy has its drawbacks. I feel wildlife should be managed through science not the ballot box but I don't decide these things, the State constitution allows for ballot initiatives Colorado is not getting better as a state allowing certain freedoms and that is because of the liberals ruling you. I think you know these things snowball and has a hunter and shooter your time is coming to an end there. It's just a matter of time, probably shorter than you think. I think both hunting and shooting will still be going strong here in CO long after I become worm food, I do lots of hunting on the high plains as well. I'm not as worried about hunting coming to an end as I am about drawing a decent tag these days, it ain't easy out West to pull good big game tags regularly.

I hope you are right, Steve, but my thoughts are still the same. People like you and I and all of us here who like to do these outdoor pursuits are getting overruled and outvoted by the bison petting urbanites.
