No, not even close. Trump is on criminal trial because of his illegal activities, it is his actions that have kept him from the campaign trail.

Poor little orange turd is finally having to be accountable. It could not have happened to a nicer guy.

Aww, poor little Donald. He tried to massage the books and got put on trial for it. Was someone holding a gun to his head to make him cook the books?

If you're upset about that you must be really smoking at MTG's attempts at staring up the useful idiots yesterday alleging that Biden was trying to assassinate Trump.

As a judge previously stated, running for office is entirely voluntary on his part. There is no obligation for the justice system to provide him time to campaign so by default no election interference either. He's getting sympathy votes just by sitting on his fat ass in a courtroom. SAD REALLY!!

Trump Claims the FBI Wanted to Kill Him. Fox News Ran Wild With It.
Story by Justin Baragona • 16h • 5 min read

================================================

The irony (for lack of a better word) is that under Trump's premise of immunity, actually sending the FBI to assassinate an opponent would be okay and fall under official duties of POTUS.

Trump’s Assassination Fantasy Has a Darker Purpose

by Juliette Kayyem • 2h • 3 min read

(excerpt)

The claim that Biden and the FBI were looking to kill Trump is easy to dismiss as the typical hyperbolic ranting of the ex-president and his fans, and it competes in the news with other disturbing things he says and does. The assassination claim initially seemed to have come and gone in the news cycle. But the story was still out there, to be absorbed by Trump’s audience.

Since the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol, Trump has become more and more apocalyptic in his language. This week, he sent another dangerous signal to his supporters: FBI agents are an armed enemy, ready to assassinate the former president. Unless, of course, Trump and his mob get to them first.

I don't buy your points, Lane; "gets by with it", "bending the law". You state opinions like facts, continually. In order to get it, feed us with some facts and evidence.

When did Biden claim that Trump sent Feds to assassinate him, grossly reported as true on left bias MSM, and believed by the left?

Of course there's a glitch.

If Biden made the claim, assuming he lived, it would be really true and there would be evidence.

That's just one example.

When did Biden micro-manage the DOJ or any state's DA, which is shown with evidence?

Who lied about it with no evidence. Who enhanced the narrative on right MSM, basically stating opinion (lies) as fact? Who believed it?

Who has stated specific intent, written and spoken, to have the DOJ, etc. under his specific command if elected?

Importantly, which indictment of Trump, and collateral, and Jan 6 insurrectionists, was not supported by facts and evidence, and didn't follow the SOP, grand jury included, per long established rules of due process per the rule of law?

Asking for friends, of course.

John Edwards a Dem was prosecuted.

The FBI just flipped a staffer against the African American NY Mayor for campaign malfeasance.

Sen. Bob Menendez is being prosecuted for a second time.

70 have been arrested and prosecuted from the NYC Housing Authority. Bet how many of those are republicans.

The Supreme Court last year, 9-0, overturned a Dem Fed Conviction. The Court state the Fed law charged did not apply to the conduct. I believe state prosecutors have taken it up, under NY law.

Your statement does not carry water.

The thing that separates true and reality, vs false narrative and alt-reality, is that claims, beliefs, assertions, etc. MUST be supported by facts to be real vs fiction.

It is fair to presume that (as a matter of fact - per the evidence) a constant stream of lies, or claims with no evidence, are fiction narratives, with intent to deceive and in the case of Trump(ism), cause harm. Intent is established due to the magnitude and consistency of the lies. (Trump's BIG LIE for example) At some point it doesn't matter if the liar actually believes his lies. His failure to recognize the importance of facts and evidence, demonstrated, is of his own choosing and burden and at least in the court of public opinion, intent can be correctly inferred.

In Trump's BIG LIE, election denial, for example, he chose who to listen to, many of which have since lost their license to practice law, or convicted, or both, rather than face the facts and advise from those qualified.

IOW, Trump had both realities to choose from in his face; truth or fiction, facts or belief. He chose affirmation over confirmation (the secular meaning of the words) https://grammarvocab.com/confi...ion-vs-conformation/.

He chose alt-reality.

So does Lane.

And, all evidence indicates much the same in the future, in all aspects.

Trump violated the political rule of plausible denial in that explicit offer to oil executives in exchange for a $billion$.

It was either stupid or he doesn't care. After all, why should he care, his supporters won't think badly of it anyway.

Maybe he underestimated how much the opposition cares.

Im not fine with anyone bending the law or telling lies or massaging the truth. Doesn't matter who they are, there is no excuse. I expect those in office to act with integrity and honesty.

You seem to have no problem with Trump and his utter lack of a moral compass and inability to understand what the truth is.

We need both. But you had better guarantee a (R) POTUS for a score to get companies to invest significantly in refining.

(D) regulation kills refining.

Did I ever say differently?

Of course they have. Oil at record highs, they definitely going to take advantage of that. They would be incompetent not to.

Again, want increase refining capacity and capabilities??? Ensure oil executives that Democrats will stay out of the executive branch (where regulations are written) for a score.

And as Rick Perry said while Sec of Energy: you get what you incentivize. Would not take much to get increased refining — just have to keep Democrats from stopping it.

Record high? $77.80 for West Texas Intermediate is a "record high"?

It was almost twice that back in 2008.

Another Easter lie.

It has been at record highs through the course of the accumulation of oil production data for the Biden administration.

The number of rigs pumping is down, total production is up due to better technology. Prices are heavily influenced by global markets, the war in Ukraine, the slow demand from China etc.

https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=61523

Our refineries are not designed for the crude we pump and likely never will be, we buy our oil on the global market for the most part.

Nothing untrue in Steve’s post.

We definitely should diversify (re-diversify…wasn’t always this way) our refining capabilities however.

Electric vehicles will never pave the way. Internal combustion vehicles will be the mainstay for at least the next century.

If we had the capacity we could refine the oil that we're currently exporting, so really the need is refining capacity.

I'm too lazy to search, but I believe that someone is pushing for a refinery in the Bakken oilfields to just refine the type of oil pumped there. Might be smart to partner with the Mexican government and build a refinery in Mexico to refine Texas light crude.
