The man is getting wackier and wackier, 78 years old as well, he's not going to win, there would seem to be a lot of worthier candidates to pick from. The failed assassin did the party no favors, a cynic would say. There seems to be some belated recognition form party officials that the campaign isn't going well at this stage of the game.

At this point, no. The delegates have cast their votes.
The Party could put pressure on him to withdraw such as cutting of funds from the RNC.

Since, his daughter in law is co-chair along with a Trump lackey as other co-chair that is unlikely.

I suppose Trump could withdraw, declare JD Vance as the new candidate, and go on from there. It would be a winning strategy for the Republicans. No chance though, Trump needs to stroke his own ego. He would rather lose and make excuses for it than see the party win or the country win. Hopefully, he can pull off a victory. The alternative is ridiculous. Bill.

trump will never withdraw. Shit, he'll never even admit he lost. He's already laying the groundwork for legal challenges to the election results with his false "coup" claims. Which I would note are being dutifully repeated here by the cult members.

With false ‘coup’ claims, Trump primes supporters to challenge a Harris win

Donald Trump has tried to delegitimize Kamala Harris’s nomination and undermine confidence in this year’s election.

===============================================

If When Trump loses the election, the time period between then and January 6, 2025 is gonna get rowdy and perhaps interesting.

The best we can hope for is that what happens on January 6, 2025 is constitutional, and Trump has absconded to Venezuela.

I'm wondering if Harris, as VP, will be certifying herself as POTUS? How does that work?

Even sociology majors know enough math to realize that if Trump is elected, he will finish his term a year older than Biden is now...

Trump’s most immediate and best play to stay out of prison is to win the election. Self-preservation is Trump’s only motivation. If I were on the same boat, self preservation would be mine too.

LOL I highly doubt that! Any sane person would not be on that boat and I cannot see you even being on the dock let alone in the boat!

I appreciate that.

I am just saying, Trump is all about self-preservation. I would hope not to be on the dock, but humanity always tries to stave off the poison it bees die itself.

It's clear what Trump's stay out of jail plan A and Plan B are. Win the election, plan A. Steal the election, plan B.

So, what's plan C? Venezuela?

I can envision Venezuela begging the US to extradite him, and the Justice Dept refusing. IOW, just keep him. He's yours.
