According to the article the Mexican national had several guns that were confiscated from his residence after the murders. If I understand correctly it was illegal for the Mexican to possess any firearms in the US. So, the weapon he used in the crime was already illegal, banned as they say.

We know damned well how he got the guns, our nation is saturated with firearms. I don't see how making his possession "more" illegal would of changed anything.

So how about we ban the Mexicans? Not a funny thing to say from anyone, but I don't see how our current immigration policy is

The southern border today is more similar to the border of northern Kenya and South Sudan above Karamoja than it is to the border along the Rio Grande I knew as a kid.

Just keep sending the illegals to sanctuary cities that vote to keep the borders porous.
Perhaps when the challenges related to this issue are on their door step they will view the problems in a different light.
