. . . wonder how much it will cost to rename the Department of Defense to the Department of War, e.g., new signage, new stationary, website redesign, etc. More eyewash for the MAGAts that like shiny things to play with. A waste of time. A waste of money. Just a waste. But keeping the MAGAts entertained, priceless.

Seems as if there is little excitement among defense officials over the useless exercise of changing the name of the Department of Defense. Concerns over cost and confusion. Viewed as a change purely for domestic political audiences. A waste of money. A waste of time. Trump and Hegseth, a waste of oxygen.

Does not change the matter federalizing trumps “for law enforcement” outside of DC is dubious.

Trump’s actions are to intimidate Blue state.

I remember during Jan 6 Committee hearings, there was testimony Flynn opined using federalized Guard units to seize voting machines.

We fought a War over the executive using federal forces to end local government.

Good job advocating for Trump.

I agree that using the military is a bad idea. Unfortunately what do we do about jurisdictions that don’t enforce the laws?
