Of course Trump will accept him, Trump is a kind, generous compassionate man when it comes to those less fortunate.

+1 Mitchell. He's a worthless human being. If he had bailed earlier Trump could have picked him for VP. That would have been a matched pair of idiots.

Socialism and Communism aren't the same thing. Which is it? A lawyer especially shouldn't use imprecise language.

Can you name a few policies of the Dem's platform that you consider Communistic? I asked Ledvm that question some time ago, and he was never able or willing to do so.

Let’s start with Kami!

Kamala Harris backs President Biden's 44.6% capital gains tax proposal, the highest in history.

The proposal also includes a 25% tax on unrealized gains for high-net-worth individuals.

https://x.com/elonmusk/status/...458537280627187?s=46

Pretty communistic move^^^

For the record communism is a subset of socialism. When speaking on communism as David was…it is fair game to include the motherset in the conversation. But blather on wordsmith.

Well, when a person cannot distinguish between the two that is a problem.

Now, it is fair if one believes that the language of those who formulated these two political theories is garbled and incoherent to say there is no distinctions.

Socialism as defined by Marx, socialism predates him, is very antisemitism as Marx equates the bourgeois to Jewish Capitalism.

Oh, and since the Pier to Tax and regulate the economy is a delegated power of Congress, the founders must have been socialist, correct?

President Washington in putting down two tax rebellions is like Mao.

I like the 25 percent tax on unrealized gains of high net worth individuals. I should not pay more tax than they do by percentage and probably dollar amount. However, I do.

We do not need another tax break that does not allow the middle and working class to keep additional money. Again, my brother who was a teacher during Trump’s tax policy got to keep a whopping 2 dollars.

The Trump/Gop tax policy is to mislead folks into “tax breaks” they never get for the benefit of high stock leveraged individuals.

If you want a tax break, do a tax de trade on employee tax rate.

The idea that to tax is in itself socialism is not accurate.

Your example is not an example of communism. It could be classified as socialism depending on what the generated revenue is used for. However, you have demonstrated you do not know the difference between socialism and communism. You have no independent thought. You just repeat talking points.

Surely you aren’t that obtuse are you Mike?

Communism is the redistribution of wealth…or in the purest of sense the abolition of wealth altogether. So yes…extreme taxes such as suggested above are a very much communistic ploy.

I would suggest you are the one being obtuse. Taxation is one tiny piece of communism.

I get a kick out of all the old farts who think criticizing something as being communist means anything to anybody anymore. It doesn't. Young people aren't familiar with it and don't give a shit about it.

I understand communism and socialism very well. Anytime you want to organize a Zoom debate on the topic with the AR audience invited…you know where to find me.

Communism is a specific form (subset of) socialism. What applies to one, may very well apply to both. And YES, extreme redistributions of wealth in the form of extreme revisions of taxes IS certainly a tactic used in both socialistic governance as well the more specific communistic governance in less pure forms. Yes, in pure communism, there is no wealth. 100% (45% getting close) of your bounty is redistributed amongst all and usually by force.

Well at least you are admitting I am correct about this extreme tax being a communistic tactic. May be hope for you yet.

I get a kick out of all the old farts who think criticizing something as being communist means anything to anybody anymore. It doesn't. Young people aren't familiar with it and don't give a shit about it.

Actually, they are attracted to it. Which should give us all pause.

At one point, I would have agreed that the Dems were the party of nut jobs and kooks. Not so much today. Sure they have their fair share of whackos but the GOP seems to have been working hard to eclipse them during the Trump era. Repubs seem to spin out conspiracy theories faster than McDonalds can turn out burgers, i.e., space lasers for forest fires, January 6 as a false flag event, etc. Just go back and read some of the threads Ann and Slider have started to get a flavor. No, today if you are looking for nuts for a pecan pie, the place to start is the Trumpified Repub party I am afraid. Sad to see frankly.
