In my experience, whenever the lawyers ask to meet with a senior DOJ official that means they have been informed that the client is going to be indicted and the meeting is their final opportunity to present a rationale to the DOJ that the client should not be indicted and the indictment would serve no beneficial purpose. Not sure that I have ever heard that such a meeting reversed the course of events and often the DOJ will just refuse to have such a meeting.

The only thing that really matters is, will it stop trump from running?
Then, if brain dead joe starts drooling in public, we can get a dem in his place. Possibly, with those two out of the race, the country can take a moderate turn.
