Jose Padilla is an American who was found guilty of working for Islamic terrorists, but previous to that had been held for years as an "enemy combatant. There were others at that time and Trump/ MAGA are only building on the precedent set by "W".

I've thought for years that my side has to be very careful how we speak and act, believing the other side would use the precedent we set against us. I never imagined it'd be my side that took full advantage.

Here we are, and the conservatives did it to themselves.
