Gas prices higher here than Biden’s last 3 months.

LHeym500Those egg prices come from IGA.
Oh, and gas prices have gone up here after being significantly less President Biden’s last 100 days.
Would you like s citation on beef prices?
08 May 2025, 18:38
theback40The nation wide average of eggs is right about $5 a dozen. That is all eggs ave. Includes organic, free range and all. I have no idea where you are seeing $14 a dozen average.

Horses are a luxury and expensive horses are a costly luxury. The economy has to be good to support them. We just completed our first quarterly report for 2025. Expenditures are essentially flat only $1000 over first quarter 2024 while revenue is up 12% over first quarter ‘24. We are poised for a great year.
And, Diesel is back below $3/gal.

Magine EnigamOff road diesel was $2.95 a gallon in bulk here last time I checked.
And we don't have as many horses or millionaires around here, except maybe some who have better sense than to own horses.

theback40I just checked IGA egg prices. It shows $4 and change. Where are you getting 14 dollars? looks like BS to me.
08 May 2025, 19:36
TumbleweedDamn fine beef here, by the half at least, is $5 CDN cut & wrapped. Thats about $3.60 USD.
I’m not sure what it is in the store, I know city folks usually can’t take a half
(unless they split it up with someone, I suppose) so I’m sure they pay more.
Eggs work out to roughly $3 USD/dozen in the stores and there’s sure no shortage of either.
Historically the U.S. has bought about $4 billion (CDN) worth of Canadian beef, so with the tariffs I expect that will reduce our prices temporarily and raise yours. We export beef to 56 countries, so we’ll just end up sending more to Europe and Asia while Trump fights with everybody. It’s going to be a long time before anybody want to do business with him again, so global markets will just rearrange themselves around him.

The subtle, soft racism of low expectations
BTW, economists have long taught the 4% unemployment is functionally full employment.. we are at 4.2
For the record, that doesn't include underemployment, which I think is closer to 15% in total
Oh, and horses are COOL.. I have been in love with them since I was in diapers and expect to remain so until past the time that I am back in them. While I walked before I rode, they used a pony to trick me into my first steps

Haven't we been at 4.2 for years? Or, you know...back when Biden was POTUS? You're not claiming that the current dufus is responsible for that number, are you?

08 May 2025, 23:06
Thomas "Ty" Beaham$14 dz
Its "confirmed" he says.
He has pictures he says, all I have to do is send him my email address he says.

At this juncture in time (Thursday May 8th, 2025), a number of members of this forum including myself, have ACTUALLY reached out to IGA in Tennessee and have reported on several occasions now that there aren't any $14 dz eggs at IGA Tennessee outlets.
BTW, the onus isn't on me to send Big Man my email address so Big Man can send me a picture of God knows what, lol.
Big Man has repeatedly made the claim as fact.
The onus is on you, Big Man...
You should see the picture of Bigfoot!

I wasn't comparing JTEX claim in any way. LHEYM stated that eggs are 14.00, which is clearly not true and that gas was up in Tennessee, which isn't accurate either. Gas Buddy shows it down on the average.
