I went an university investment class eons ago, back when Carter was president. The professor was the real thing, ran a Lichtenstein Trust for a living and taught school as a hobby. He says, never mess with the tax man, save his share out of your profits and pay what you owe.

My guess is, Elon doesn't try to be "Trump Smart" and pays what he owes. He won't miss any meals over it...
