So I too feel for what the Biden clan is going through.

The DNC and Harris are in the position of their own making.

They both have obviously known about and obfucated or worse denied the existence of the issue which is now front and center.

How, or if, they unwind this ball of string will be interesting to see.

IMO, those are sensible posts, except that I think Harris could assemble a capable cabinet.

I also wonder about the "of their own making" comment.

If it's about defeating Trump, given the dynamics where policy is less the driving factor than emotional populism, incumbent stability has merit, faced with a proven and known disruptive alternative.

After all, Biden won 2020 against an incumbent, a known quantity, because voters were tired of Trump's BS. They still are and more so now.

well played sir.

But seeing what we have as a cabinet now my question is would we be worse off?

Note the reasons for turnover in A-Team, Trump vs Biden. Resigned under pressure, vs promotion or reassignment, etc.

Also, there is a section specific about the cabinet.

You know Cheadle isn't a cabinet member right? 2020 2020

I've noticed that most of Bidens cabinet has hung in there for this term and they seem to have done his bidding. That seems like a good cabinet to me regardless what I may think of their boss's policies. The failure at the southern border isn't the cabinets fault it's the boss's.

Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

It hurts me to think of your suffering. I wish I could give you a hug.

I agree with you, someone is keeping the boat floating and I don't think it's Biden. I suspect the difference may be that Joe will listen to and follow along with his daycare minders whereas if Harris ends up in charge she's cognizant enough to run willy nilly. I don't see Harris hiring competent staff and even if she did I don't see her following their advice.

God bless Jackson, may she rest in peace, but it'll take some convincing to get me to believe she represented her constituents well.

But I do agree Harris has too much baggage, and if democracy is as important too the dems as they say, then they cut that cord and bring in someone who can win.

Harris hasn't demonstrated any ability. I think she's advanced her career using her gender and ethnicity as well as her home state and peers.

I have a cousin in California whose about my age, a very smart and sensible lady and shed be very happy to tell you she voted for and will vote for Harris because she's a minority woman and a Democrat. That's it, all my cousin needs. Confused

I don't think our entire nation is on board with voting based on race and gender, but that's all Harris offers.

I'll go further to say at least Biden or what's left of him can assemble a responsible and capable Cabinet to run the nation while he naps. I feel no such confidence in Harris

Yeah its a valid opinion. We had our Harris recently, and I have to admit it was shit.
On paper Trumps policys would be better for me, But Ive seen your reasoning for disliking/not voting for him, and I Agree. I could not voter for someone who had demonstrated such a will to disrupt democracy- competently or not.
Also though, I see Bidens dementia and how its been kept from voters until too obvious not to admit, and his parties willingness too put him forward to the detriment of better candidates, as a more surreptitious erosion of democracy. I would really not wish to support that either. It is a shit sandwich.

It all comes down to the Democratic convention.

They may have no choice and I think their power brokers know winning the WH becomes a longer shit each and every day.

If I was them I wound run Harris and Pritzker as VP. This way Harris has her shot and they can brush her aside for a Newsome/Jeffries ticket in 28.

But then again I wouldn’t have picked Vance for VP I would have picked Gabbard.

If the Dems are really in it to in it to win it then trot out Hillary/Obama as their ticket.

Exactly.

I posted the data, and Biden's cabinet turnover is very low.

In comparison, Trump's was very high, compared to recent terms of office of several presidents.

Soon we will see the assertion from the Right - "Too decrepit to run - too decrepit to serve."

Politics used to be so much kinder. Remember Regan's decline towards the end of his second term, and he wasn't attacked.

I read that MAGA Mike now wants to start an investigation on the Dems coverup of Biden's condition. For the good of the country, of course.

It should be investigated as it was a cover-up.

And ME…ALL of the free-press turned a blind eye to it except Fox News and small right wing agencies.

Well, that HAS to have some irony in there somewhere! Wink

The GOPers in congress are so keen at investigations, and they certainly have enough stuff to investigate - such as investigate the investigation and investigators, stalling and harping on accusations with scant evidence - squeezing the turnip for political juice.

Meanwhile it's a good distraction from their own coverup and complicity of Trump's condition, which is far worse than mere dementia. He knows what he's doing with a lifetime of experience.

The press of course is doing their best with full disclosure, "except Fox News and small right wing agencies".

The GOP are at the top of their game. Thanks to them we now know that old people . . . are old people. They suffer from cognitive decline, issues with gait, balance, confusion, etc. This discovery by the GOP will surely revolutionize geriatric medicine. Guess what, Trump is old too. Perhaps he is immune to such physical and mental decline . . . being the Orange Jesus and all.

Just like Biden, Trump is running on autopilot.

But, their internalized navigation charts are much different.
