So you and everyone in a corner office cook the corporate books by declaring embarrassing settlements to be attorney's fees?

And you corner-officers then deduct the embarrassing settlement amounts on your tax returns as something they're not?

Hello? Ever hear of tax fraud?

Nothing illegal there. Let's move on.

Without seeing the charges in the indictment, we do not know much.

It is not the confidentiality clause (which Congress needs to ban. It is the intent of the payments as a campaign contribution, unreported and hidden on the books as lawyer fees, that is the root of illegality.

You loons have got your panties in a wad, claiming that Stormy Daniel’s case is nothing more than politics.

Are you going to say the same about the following report just released?

“IN THE CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS CASE, FEDERAL INVESTIGATORS HAVE GATHERED NEW AND SIGNIFICANT EVIDENCE THAT AFTER THE SUBPOENA WAS DELIVERED, TRUMP LOOKED THROUGH THE CONTENTS OF SOME OF THE BOXES OF DOCUMENTS IN HIS HOME, APPARENTLY OUT OF A DESIRE TO KEEP CERTAIN THINGS IN HIS POSSESSION, THE PEOPLE FAMILIAR WITH THE INVESTIGATION SAID.

INVESTIGATORS NOW SUSPECT, BASED ON WITNESS STATEMENTS, SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE, AND OTHER DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE, THAT BOXES INCLUDING CLASSIFIED MATERIAL WERE MOVED FROM A MAR-A-LAGO STORAGE AREA AFTER THE SUBPOENA WAS SERVED, AND THAT TRUMP PERSONALLY EXAMINED AT LEAST SOME OF THOSE BOXES, THESE PEOPLE SAID. WHILE TRUMP’S TEAM RETURNED SOME DOCUMENTS WITH CLASSIFIED MARKINGS IN RESPONSE TO THE SUBPOENA, A LATER FBI SEARCH FOUND MORE THAN 100 ADDITIONAL CLASSIFIED ITEMS THAT HAD NOT BEEN TURNED OVER.“

You don't have the slightest idea if it is tax fraud or not. By they way, here's one of the laws trump apparently violated:

SECTION 175.05
Falsifying business records in the second degree
Penal (PEN) CHAPTER 40, PART 3, TITLE K, ARTICLE 175
§ 175.05 Falsifying business records in the second degree.

A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the second degree
when, with intent to defraud, he:

1. Makes or causes a false entry in the business records of an
enterprise; or

2. Alters, erases, obliterates, deletes, removes or destroys a true
entry in the business records of an enterprise; or

3. Omits to make a true entry in the business records of an enterprise
in violation of a duty to do so which he knows to be imposed upon him by
law or by the nature of his position; or

4. Prevents the making of a true entry or causes the omission thereof
in the business records of an enterprise.

Falsifying business records in the second degree is a class A
misdemeanor.

If they are willing to testify to that in court, he deserves what he gets.

OTOH, if they have that, why are they messing around with misdemeanors and not prosecuting felonies?

It's probable that Trump will be handed a gag order.

That's going to be fun to watch.

No one has been able to get him to STFU so far, not even his lawyers.

The New York Trump indictment is huge. A Georgia indictment could be far worse.

Is it ok to call him a crook or do we have to say that he is judicially or justice involved?

Reportedly an alleged misdemeanor level offense under state law past the statute limits which has been reviewed multiple times and determined not to be an offense. How.to we get to a felony here again? Thanks for ginning the base, Bragg.

In general they did with Edward’s case going to trial. The jury did not convict. As to why the predecessor of Bragg, maybe he knew he was going to retire and did not want to deal with it.

Ask the guy who chose not to take any action.

On the face of it, I would be concerned with a statute of limitations issue. That could have been the predecessor’s justification to not do anything. However, Bragg is a former Fed Prosecutor. I do not believe for a second he has not duly vetted Statute of Limitations issues and found no bar existing.

You know who can tell us that issue a Judge because it is a question of law for the Judge to determine (if an issue at all).

Finally, there is some percentage you ate right and no there is there. I doubt it given Bragg’s history as a Fed Prosecutor.

One thing is certain l. President Trump is presumed innocence. He remains innocent until the state rebuts that presumption by evidence that is beyond a reasonable doubt.

The other thing that is certain is a Grand Jury on NY has determined Felony(ies) have been committed on a preponderance of the evidence to formally charge.

Twas the night before the arraignment
And all through the Mar-a-Lago house,
Not a creature was stirring,
not even his spouse.

And the shackles were hung
With the judge with care
with hopes that the Donald
would soon be jailed there!

The Manhattan DA that preceded Bragg said o. An interview today, that he did not indicate because the Federal DA I’m NY told him to “stand down.”

This was Session’s Administration.

Maybe there is no such thing as due process where you live. In such case, you have reason to be scared.

The "law", well developed under a constitution supposedly serving and per We the People, also per Jefferson and Locke's social contract, just doesn't get any better.

Lawyering is another thing, but necessary.

Under such system, a rogue or a magnificent narcissist will eventually go too far.

The thing is that Trumnpsters are all about crashing the Rule of Law. What have WE if they succeed?
