trump says that the porn star he paid the hush money to and the lawyer that arranged the transaction shouldn't be allowed to testify against him. Delusional. https://thehill.com/homenews/4...ny-hush-money-trial/ -Every damn thing is your own fault if you are any good.

It's unfair to present evidence and testimony just to make him look guilty at his trial... "If you’re innocent why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”- Donald Trump

I think it's currently 90 something. If he is innocent, which he claims he is and he didn't pay hush money, didn't shag the iron star or the playboy centrefold, what's he worried about?

Mike: Help me out here. There are certain inevitable truths. Throughout history, men have had mistresses or other ill-advised dalliances, and have paid off the women in question to keep their mouths shut. How is that a crime? If it was the woman who threatened to go public sans payment, the woman would be guilty of blackmail. If that happened and payment was made, how is the man guilty of any crime? What is it? -- state the crime. If the woman didn't try to blackmail the man, but he just thought it would be best to pay her for her silence with a NDA, where is the crime? What's the charge? And if she took money in exchange for a NDA, how can she testify? If she does, she should be prosecuted for fraud. Criminally and civilly.

. . . the crime is not the payoff, the crime is falsifying business records to conceal it. The man is the embodiment of fraud. How in good conscience can you defend the man? Mike

Did he take a tax deduction for it? What good is a pay off if you are forced to disclose it?

I sometimes wonder if the folks that defend Trump and his activities realize that their defense of the man and his immoral conduct says as much about them as it says about Trump. They seem to think that they can dismiss and defend conduct devoid of virtue without it saying something about themselves and their values. Interesting dynamic. Mike

Do you think those pay-offs are moral and ethical? I'm interested to see how far you're willing to go to defend that man.

Come on, fellas. Trump, being the pious man of faith that he is, will restore America as a Christian nation. Didn't you know that? There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

You don't have to disclose it if you don't get caught. I don't recall exactly what triggered the existence of it. Give me a home where the buffalo roam and I'll show you a house full of buffalo shit.

Correct me if I dm wrong, but the criminality of this is an unreported campaign contribution as it was paid to benefit the campaign. A legal theory long recognized by the appellate courts.

And claimed as "legal fees", reducing taxes owed. And New York has Laws against falsifying business records. "If you’re innocent why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”- Donald Trump

"Originally posted by lavaca: Did he take a tax deduction for it?" Yes. "And claimed as "legal fees", reducing taxes owed." Does it even matter to you that the crook did?
