This could be interesting. Wonder if DeSantis will come to San Antonio to campaign if the DA files charges against his campaign personnel or submits to a grand jury?

Mike,
Do you support this kind of weaponization of law enforcement and the blatant waste of resources and taxpayer money?

I support criminal charges where criminal charges are warranted. Explain to all of us why the Bexar County Sheriff's investigation and recommendations to the DA are incorrect? And, while you're pondering that one, explain to all of us how Desantis using law enforcement and taxpayers dollars to fly immigrants to other states so he looks good to you trumptards isn't weaponization of law enforcement and a blatant waste of resources and taxpayer's money?

DeSantis' cute little political stunt, that we all know you giggled about and supported, just may very well get his ass indicted.

Do I support that? Oh, hell yes. And, I hope Gregg Abbott is next. dancing

They were flown from San Antonio. Which, last time I checked, is in Bexar County. Which gives Bexar County jurisdiction over any criminal charges. Florida and Massachusetts also probably have JX for such a filing.

>>According to a lawsuit filed by a law firm representing some of the migrants, Perla Huerta, a former combat medic and counterintelligence agent in the U.S. Army, gave $10 McDonald’s gift cards to about 50 migrants in San Antonio last year in exchange for a signed consent form to board a flight to Massachusetts. Inside the charter plane, the migrants, many of whom were Venezuelans, were given a brochure with a list of organizations that provide social services the migrants were not eligible for, according to the lawsuit.

The next day at a news conference, DeSantis claimed credit for sending the planes from Texas to Massachusetts. He has said that it was part of the state’s program to relocate migrants to a “sanctuary destination.” The Florida Legislature set aside $12 million for the effort, and DeSantis has spent more than $1.5 million so far on the flights, according to state records.<<

If the people were taken from his county, then he had jurisdiction because the abduction happened in his county.

It’s always guilty until proven innocent with you Mike…at least as long as it is your opposition. Did you have to lie about your feelings on that to pass the bar?

I don't recall getting asked about my "feelings" when I took the bar. It was just about the law.

Doesn’t the spirit of the law imply innocent until proven guilty?

Why don't sanctuary cities want these illegals?

Like Scott said, seems that was what they were all about. What has changed? Who are they a sanctuary for now?

I don't view it as criminal negligence.

Unlike your desert shithole of a country, every single current resident of the United States is either a descendant of an immigrant or an immigrant. Every single person (with the exception of African-Americans) came here looking for a better life for themselves and their family. The people crossing the border from Mexico are the same. Every single American who posts on this board is a descendant of immigrants. It's my opinion, stated here many times, that we should let them all in. They want to work. They want to do the crappy jobs that Americans are not much inclined to do. They build our roads and houses. They pick our fruit and vegetables. They clean our houses and hotels and they cook for us and serve us in restaurants. I cannot understand why their vilification by republican politicians is such a successful talking point.

2020 Wow!

For one…there is finite space.

If you idiots want them crowding your cities…don’t bitch about the governors spreading them around.

Me…I like wide-open ranch land a rural living where we take care of ourselves.

I used to enjoy my south Texas ranch until your ilk has ruined it. Not really safe to go there to relax any longer.

“Let them all in!” Damn!!! No wonder the USA is in decline with supposedly educated people promoting idiotic policy like that. Wow! Just wow. thumbdown

Heard all this made-up bullshit from you before. Poor baby can't go to his ranch because of the evil Mexicans.

Is your argument really that there's not enough land? That's some deep thinking right there....2020

Speaking of being supposedly educated, I've provided you with this data before and you never have a response....all the data shows that undocumented workers commit crime at a significantly lower rate than US citizens. I'm wondering how that squares with your claimed anecdotal "evidence" that your ranch is so dangerous you can't go there anymore?

>>>The results in this updated brief show that in Texas in 2019, illegal immigrants were 37.1 percent less likely to be convicted of a crime than native‐born Americans and legal immigrants were about 57.2 percent less likely to be convicted of a crime than native‐born Americans.

Your are retarded!

They have already committed a crime by coming illegally to this country.

The reason they aren't convicted is simply because the liberals in this country willfully disregard our immigration laws!

So, Jim...I always wonder...do you voice your moral outrage with the GC on your jobsites about them hiring all the undocumented workers that are employed by the framing subs, the concrete subs, the utilities subs and the general laborers on your work sites?

Or, do you just shut the fuck up and take your money?
