How too enforce it will be interesting. But I do see it as an idea worth exploring.
Social media use is at minimum a tool that we need to teach use of and I dont think society has yet come to grips with the effect it can or does have on us.

I call it SICK MEDIA!

Google, Facebook and TickTok are only in it to make money.

Tick Tok is giving FB a good run for their money, so the American government is trying to shut it off! clap

You may well be correct. I wasn't thinking of that avenue when i replied.
Saeed, I have the impression that you are a good father. Would I be correct in saying you would not allow unrestricted access to such platforms for your children? If not why?

We bring our kids up in a family atmosphere.

They learn what is right and what is wrong as they grow up.

They all had phones at a young age, and non has been brain washed by the zombies on Sick media.

I do believe that the most important thing in a young person's life is how they are brought up.

I do get some flak from relatives and friends on what we allow our kids to do.

Like getting a motor bike at 16 so they have the freedom of movement.

Like getting a car at 18 when it is legal, and we place no undue restrictions on them.

They do appreciate it, and always listen to our advice.

Sadly, this is not always the case with others.

Yeah exactly.
Sadly I think laws such as this might be beneficial too the kids who dont have such parenting. Who are just left alone with such media, because its easier for the parents.

They CANNOT stop them.

Period!

The government could do some good by fining the media sites for encouraging bad behavior.

Like those idiots using innocent people to terrorize and post it for clicks, which in turn earn them money.

That is what they do here.

Anyone doing this is subject to the law.

And it works.

I have kids from my first marriage. When they ar ehere, i just try to raise them right. Thye love the Switch i bought them but they go outside too. I think back to my childhood. I had a gun under my bed at 12, was i going to do anything crazy? of course not. Maybe parents need to step up and teach values.
