I do think there are issues with banning misdemeanor domestic cases from owning firearms.

I also agree that it’s silly to try and label a gender dysphoria diagnosis as a disqualifying mental illness… although I’ve yet to see a GD person with that as their only psych diagnosis. Most of them are troubled people, and that, not the GD is more an issue- with folks throwing meds at it and it’s behavioral, not psychotic issues so the meds don’t work so well.

The S. Ct., has allowed civil injunctions (EPO/DVO/IPOs) as banning possession. A criminal conviction fur the same is not in jeopardy of being overturned.
