Maybe a severance tax is in order, like with oil and gas. Kind of an inverse tariff...

Nothing like pissing over the neighbor fence one day, and then walk over to ask for a couple of eggs the day after.

It makes a perfectly sane impression.

Lithuania has been granted the right to sell eggs since 2022, under Biden.
They have yet to be asked for eggs, and you guys are in a circle jerk over it? Roll Eyes
No shortage of eggs in any stores here, prices mid $4 range. And you lefties think it's a crisis?? Weird.

The Western Politico's new favorite incantation.

"crisis, crisis, crisis..."

Lol, the sad fact is more foodstuffs exit the back doors of Western Markets and end up in overflowing landfills, than enters the front doors of markets over the rest of the world.

There is no food shortage crisis anywhere in the Western world.

We are fat, lazy, and easily manipulated by commercial media and their puppet master's hype.

Crisis! nilly Crisis! nilly Crisis! here, leads to self-centered hoarding, stockpiling, price gouging, highway robbery etc...

As long as the chaos does not affect you, no problem at right Ty?

Approval for firearms import permits has gone from hours or a few days to over a month, but hey, it's not your money or your business being jerked around.

All is good in Trumptard land cuckoo

The chaos of a fake egg "crisis"? Hysterical!

Steve's got jokes.

Clean your reading glasses Steve.

I wrote "Western Politico's"

Take ownership of the fact this isn't one sided.

And NOWHERE did I say the hype dosent affect me.

Zero toilet paper on the shelves, and no rim fire ammo because of selfish hoarding, stockpiling, profiteering and price gouging fueled by the constant chant from commercial media of crisis, crisis, crisis was a mere inconvenience, but I hardly suffered chaos, lol...

Drama queen much? Hahahahahaha

P.S. this is more for the folks in this thread who are unaware of the fact, the fact that I have repeatedly made clear, and, which you yourself (SKB & Steve Bertram) have directly acknowledged before, but
I did not vote for Donald Trump. So, I have no idea what or where Trumptardia is. Maybe it's somewhere folks with TDS go to fantasize? Regardless, I'm glad to hear you're all good there, even with the chaos, Steve.

The chaos is taking place right now. Just look at the markets ...Tesla for example.

Drama queen??? Please....I have a business to run and that orange turd is causing everywhere. Try shopping through USPs for example.

I am hardly the only one to the mess that is taking place.

Go pore yourself another tall glass of orange Kool-aid Ty.

As of a Forbes article from the 18th.
US egg inventory is up. Wholesale prices down.
Some retailers are not passing on the savings yet.
Maybe I should go to social media to get my info instead?

What does Forbes have to say about the recent drop in the stock market?

Not today Ty.....those were the lowest priced eggs on the shelf.

But the internet must be right, not the guy who just left the store cuckoo

You might be a cult member if.....

If you you have ever shopped at Lucky's you would know why I don't shop there. They might be lower on eggs today, but overall they are WAY higher in price. I don't have time to go to multiple stores to save a few bucks on eggs, maybe you do.

You don't get it. Supply and demand is no big deal. And free markets will level things out. You know, free trade. Trade restrictions mess things up. This is about eggs, but when it comes to hard-to-replace stuff that gets tossed over borders a couple of times before a product materialilzes, the effect on tariffs multiplies.

This time it's eggs. But you will never ever hear about B2B stuff, some petrochemical compound only produced in the UK or some special ball bearings only produced in Sweden. And that messes things up, increasing prices and driving inflation.

That's the sad part. The fun part is that the US threatens the world with a trade war that it postpones a few weeks at a time, while begging the rest of the world to import... eggs.

Sorry you can't eat eggs from Lucky, Steve.

Well the topic was eggs steve, start another stockmarket thread.
If grocery stores will not reflect wholesale price drop, must be the market will stand it in that area.
I have no problem refusing to buy things I feel are price gouged.

I don't drive around town to grocery shop, do you? I go to one store, then GTFO. Like you, I'm not much on cities and driving to multiple grocery stores to save 2.50$ is not worth my time.

OK, So I guess that the request from the trade attaché of the US embassy - the lowlifes who took town the banner #westandwithukraine" from the Embassy entrance - never happened. You are so much in the know, I need to go to you for first hand knowledge about what happens outside wherever-you-live.

Who am I gonna believe? You, or my own lying eyes? Hard choices.

Steve Bertram,

I live in the country and go to town twice a month.

I shop online, they have prices posted, pictures and everything, lol

I'm not rich like you Captain Chaos.

I guess saving $6 on a flat of eggs is just a waste of time and effort.

Shame on me for trying to help out Steve.

Unlike you, I live below my means in order to save for a rainy day when things aren't quite as rosy.

You know like the rosy times you've yammerd on like a scalded cat to Lane Easter about, how you've never done better, how the inflation was non-existent in SKB land, blah blah, blah
The whole time, and how ironic, not giving a whiff about those folks in Boulder who were in fact feeling the pinch. The folks who wouldn't turn a nose up to an egg from Lucky's.

You come across like a snooty asshole.

Doesn't surprise me you couldn't be bothered to shop around.

More money than sense I guess.

But I don't think you understand "crisis"

Or, you do, and are just taking the opportunity to be of some relevance by exaggerating and conflating events to your liking.

Either way, you're wrong.

P.S. I'll extend the invitation to you as well.

Come visit. See for yourself.

Do the math....if it takes an extra 10 minutes and you save 2.50$, I don't buy eggs by the flat because I don't use them that fast, that is 15$ per hour. If you make more than 15$ per hour you are losing money chasing saving like that.

The old saying, spend a dollar to save dime comes to mind. I'm self employed, time is money and my billable time is more than 15$ per hour. Go figure where I concentrate my efforts.
