So, after all the vitriol and doomsday rhetoric, I guess all of you Leftists here on the ARPF have been left wanting. You lost your bets.
What’s next?

Hopefully civil discourse, from both sides.

The expected dystopian nightmare is my guess.

The expected dystopian nightmare. Musk bought trump, so who's going to be in charge?

I have no idea. Trump still stands convinced in NY State Court. That alone should result in his early impeachment and removal my the process set out in the Constitution. It won’t w the make up of Congress. The people also could not stomach it.

The Governors of NY and GA should pardon him today for state prosecutions, and President Biden should pardon him from federal prosecution.

Beyond that, I can only hope his agenda on the campaign trail is abandoned.

Tge fed courts are going to be unrecognizable to anyone who has studied constitutional law more so then they are now. The far right judicial activism is going to increase.

There better be major legislation to address illegal migration. I bet there will not be.

Oh, and unlike the Far Right. I’ll say the title of your threads needs changed. The American experiment has worked. A due election was held. The result is secondary to the process.

You misunderstand.
What didn’t work was the rhetoric and vilification from the Left and the media.
Man, they tried EVERYTHING.
Well, almost everything.
The one thing they didn’t try, they didn’t run a good candidate.

The Democrats gave us no choice when they installed the candidate.

I agree with that completely.

The left also had several self inflicted wounds, the border and the over the top tranny rights stance imediatly come to mind.

The Democrats ran a bad candidate after a disastrous presidency. I'll confess that I underestimated the extent to which people wanted to replace the Democrats. The Republicans ran a bad candidate too. Plainly, they could not run one bad enough to lose to Kamala.
One thing for sure, my favorite right wing news program will be even more fun to watch, because there will be "Lefties Losing It" all over the place. Regards, Bill

I think there a solid chance you’re right. The Chinese/North Korean/Russian model seems to have a dangerous appeal for Trump. That Project 2025 document is the stuff of nightmares.
The reality that Government must serve ALL of the people in a fair and equitable manner seems to have escaped these folks.

Trump was a good candidate and ran excellent campaign…in retrospect to boot
For Dems, accept defeat and think into a future

It is your title and your opening post.

The system worked. The process is due and what the Constitution requires.

You do not hear VP Harris, media you do not like, myself and center to left of AR claiming fraud, rigged, cooked numbers.

Trump won. He won squarely and fairly. The “system” worked just like it did in 2020.

The fact folks perceive and endured economic hardship during Biden’s Administration, Border Chaos, prosecutions designed to punish a political opponent for being a political opponent, indifference to foreign affairs in that order does not change who Trump is or his party.

It has less to do w grand politics/themes and all to do w hierarchy of needs.

The fact Trump is still Trump despite the results does not make those political and policy themes false rhetoric.

I would pardon Trump today if I were the NY Gov, GA Gov, or President (Fed cases). We need to move on w the voice of the people providing a resounding declaration they want this to end.
