Remington brass, cci large rifle magnum primer, IMR 4350 charge wt 55.5 grains, bullet 168 grain MK. Why the large CCI large rifle magnum primer?.
I've found that it increases the stability of the load when fired. Measured sd's are usually less than the same load w/o the magnum primer. The above load data was used in two pre 64 m70's in 30-06 and was accurate in both. A pre 64 m70 standard rifle in 30-06 with the 165 game king was just as accurate. My sako 75 hunter in 30-06 using this load with nosler 165 ballistic tip is extremely accurate. I also have a post 64 m70 match rifle in 30-06 that will be used for cast bullets. Now I realize most long distance shooters now use the 175 grain MK. Lack city M72 loaded in 1967 will shoot very well in the sako as well. Maybe dated info but has worked with other shooters
who've used it. hope some of you can try it out. You won't be dissapointed. Frank
