Hello Folks, I am with the Southwest Ohio Chapter of SCI. We have a "Sensory Safari" trailer that is loaded with taxidermy including mammals, reptiles, fish and birds. The primary purpose of this trailer is for the blind and visually impaired to learn about other animals. We allow the kids and everyone to touch the mounts, hides, skulls and bones. We also set up at county fairs and Cabela's stores to help promote conservation and hunting. We do not charge anything.

We are looking for some more donated mounts. We can generate a donation letter from the SCI foundation for your donation. I can pay for shipping or pick up items if possible. If you can check with your favorite taxidermist and see if they have anything to donate from our list. The following animals we have not been able to find:

Full Mounts
Lynx
Skunk
Armadillo
Possom
Fox
Bobcat
Mountain Lion
Snake

Shoulder Mounts
Bull Elk
Mountain Goat
Bighorn or Dall Sheep
Muskox
Zebra

We greatly appreciate any help.

Thank you,

Jim Hayes

You might check with Martinez Taxidermy at the corner of Oltorf + S. Lamar in Austin,Tx.I don't have a phone # but they have been there since Jesus was a choirboy. They might have something that was not picked up +/or could use the tax write off.Worth a call.

I don't see where you duplicated your message on the Taxidermy thread. Do that. Jerry Huffaker and others may have some good advice or assistance. Good luck.
